Posted by @stomachtroubleneedhelp in About Kids & Teens, Jun 25, 2012

I am nausea every single day, especially after I eat it's getting to the point every time I eat something It feel like its coming back up,I never have bowl movements and When I eat something it seems to never digest,I've been to the emergency room 3 times and they keep saying I'm compacted they put me on miralsx but it's not working anymore the symptoms are back and getting intolerable,I'm do sick of being nauseas and I can't stand throwing up I hate it,I have a lot of discomfort, bloating, off and on mild to intense stomach pain that'll sometime be upper then middle then to the right side, nausea,no energy, and a feeling of burning acid in my stomach that usually last 10 to 30 minutes,I'm going to see a gastrotologist this Wednesday for the first time but I'm so scared its going to be serious and need surgery, has anyone been expericing this to? If so what was rong with you and what did they have to do?

Have them check you for Gastroparesis. I suffer from it and you sound like you have the symptoms.

Is their any treatment for it?

Posted by @katmandoo, Jun 25, 2012

There are medications, Botox injections inside of stomach and lastly gastric pacemakers. I just had the pacemaker implanted 2 months ago. So far it's working for me. Most people with Gastroparesis are diabetics but not always because I'm not diabetic.

I am so scared of that,I was doing some research on gastro paresis and I came across a blog discussing that and everyone said that they have vomit attacks and have to be in the hospital every month from 4-9 days it practically takes away your life and your confined to a hospital bed and they said there's no guaranteed treatment to help it and no cure

I wouldnt be worried about a diagnosis, be fearful of a lack of diagnosis. I have a severe stomach ailment and after a series of several tests through a year the best they can come up with is IBS and i dont even fit that catigory. Just be careful about taking anti acids lik-e zantac or previcid. From the reseearch ive done and the thousands ive spent on eastern and western drs there is very rarely to much acid in the stomach. If you are getting burning it could be bacause your esophigous could possibly have a hiatal hernia which is easily corrected. Def try to avoid the bandaid aproach were they throw you on meds. Gentian root is great to help move things along in the digestive tract and papayas have a lot of digestive enzymes. You can go to a healthfood store and get papaya enzyme capsules. Also peppermint enteric coated capsules help with abdominal pain, nasua and they help you clear out. There are several natural remedies that will help you cope until they can pinpoint the exact problem. Cuz being a ginue pig makes things worse and im speaking from experiance. Im now under 100 pounds and they are doing nothing.

Yes I did she had me start on a restricted diet of rice and beans and walk two minutes a day and small amounts of yoga and a specific schedule like a young child but it seems like she is not really searching for a diagnosis but just trying to fix it and although most of the things that it could be would have similar recovery processes I really need a diagnosis just for the sake of having one it would make things a lot easier I think so I'm having a tough time with all of this we will see what happens

I've been suffering for a year with Chronic Gastritis...I am almost suicidal at this point! I have had every test, every scan, every treatment known to the doctors but I am nauseous 24/7 and can't eat anything other than baby foods or oatmeal, cream of wheat....I'm desperate for answers but no one seems to have any. I recently started taking Aloe Vera Juice since I've been told that it "might" help....however, if you learn anything at all, please share it with me....I have no energy, my life is completely spent lying down or just sitting....

I have had pretty much the same problem. NO Nausea thought. When I eat I get this bloating and burning. I have had a lot of surgery. I have had 7 hernias and gallbladder out and hysterectomy. All the scars and mesh don't help. I also had gastric stapling in the late 70's. No one can stop the pain. I am on my second pain management Dr. and he is already looking like I am done. HELP

Has anyone considered SIBO? (Small intestinal bacterial overgrowth)? This can cause nausea.

zanaae

check out Celiac Disease...

texasjane

Posted by @texasjane, Jul 14, 2012

Have been checked out for every possible "disease". However, lately felt better,,,did several things...my doctor told me (of all things) to eat lots of Cinnamon! Even to chew on cinnamon sticks; also to try Ginger....tea and capsules. I did that plus I began to chew peppermint or cinnamon gum after every time I eat and believe it or not am beginning to feel a bit better and can eat a little more. Also stopped Baby aspirin I was taking daily. My doctor is a regular MD but she also does believe that some herbal things can work and she may just be right! Hope it lasts!

I have had those symptoms for over 5years and was just diagnosed with eosinophilic gastritis and esophagitis. I accidently discovered that soy, milk, wheat, eggs, nuts were causing my nausea and regurg, constipation. I am trying to decide if may clinic would be a good choice for me or if I should go to USF in Tampa......I live in NC and Duke has a four month wait for an apt just to decide if they can treat me or not.

melaniewa

Posted by @melaniewa, Jul 17, 2012

How about Dr Drossman in Chapel Hill, NC (Chapelhilldoctors.com)? He used to be at UNC (co- founder of the GI Motility clinic there)and has now set up on his own in private practice. He is excellent in my experience, you won't find anyone better.

hokiefan

Posted by @hokiefan, Jul 17, 2012

My GI doc in High Point told me that Duke might be able to treat me but said that there was no other medical center that he knew of in NC that could. I've been waiting months for an appointment to see if they could treat me or not.

hokiefan

Posted by @hokiefan, Jul 17, 2012

I see he does motility but my problem is an overgrowth of eosinophils in the digestive tract that react to food proteins as foreign causing chronic nausea, pain and throat problems, but thanks for the idea.

hello, I wish you the best in finding whats wrong. I recently went through 3 mo of nauseau all the time, before that i had some mild pain in upper abdomen that came and went, off and on, i had no appetite, then i got somewhat of an appetie back, but then came pain too. Come to find out, after ultrasound, I had gallstones, After surgery, it was actually one huge gallstone and my gallbladder was so very imflammed. Ofcourse mine took a special operation cause it was somewhat inside the liver , and covered by something. Are you diabetic? before this all happened I had and Egd done of esophigis and found i had esophigitis, which i was treated for about a year prior. There are many things that could be causing your problems, after many, many hours of research i have learned this myself.

Wish you the best and hope you get an accurate diagnosis.

hi there
the symptoms you wrote all point to some gall bladder problem,
get an ultrasound when you r having pain and other symptoms,
it is billiary colic
pain due to blockage of cystic duct due to some gallstone.
