Want to discuss prolapse bladder or any kind of prolapse
I am looking to discuss prolapse bladder or any kind of prolapse that other ladies have experienced as well. I would also like to comment on incontinence as well. There is a lot to talk about when it comes to prolapse bladder etc and it seems to be a silent epidemic among women. If there are others out there like me, lets talk about it and I have some solutions. I am surviving prolapse bladder without surgery and I have been living with it for over ten years. I wear a support garment that is light and easy weight and fits right under my existing underwear. Don't know what you are doing or wearing, but I would like to hear from you. Thanks.

Hi Contentandwell, I just remembered another food that helps slow things down when you are moving too well. Greek yogurt was one of my favorite foods to add to cereals and homemade salad dressing to get more protein. I had to quit using it though, because it stopped me up so bad. I just use regular yogurt now very carefully. Hope this helps!
@coralbells1 Thanks for that reminder. I do eat Greek yogurt, generally the no-fat, unflavored that I add some fruit to, and a bit of low carb granola. It's a fairly hearty breakfast. I knew it was healthy but I don't think I realized it had that benefit, but now that I think of it isn't that true of all pre-biotics?
I am still trying to figure out which foods make matters worse. I know it is a problem that is due to the immunosuppressants because that is when it began, but it is exacerbated by certain foods. Right now, the most likely culprit seems to be the berries (strawberries and blueberries) that I have been adding to my Greek yogurt and my oatmeal. So much for eating healthy!
Thanks again.
JK
@pizon Thanks, but my problem is the opposite, I want things to not move quite so much. 🙁

I have read that foods like peppers (green, orange, yellow, red), cause and worsen inflammation! Yogurt is the best probiotic, in addition to taking a regular Probiotic daily! I also avoid sugars and usually add plenty of Kale, Oranges, carrots, lemons, limes, sweet potatoes and many other healthy things including blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, kiwi fruit, etcetera! I generally eat a Mediterranean diet ! I also add both fruits and vegetables to morning shakes and add granola almond or coconut milk (I am dairy allergic), and other various delicious foods!
@rachelanne When you say "foods like peppers (green, orange, yellow, red), cause and worsen inflammation" would that also cause my problem, loose stools? I can never get straight what's a probiotic and what's a prebiotic. I think I had that wrong in my post.
As I mentioned, the berries seem to have been a problem. I will just go along, trial and error basically, to try to figure out what is the cause. Today was pretty good.
Thank you for your thoughts on this.

Hi, @contentandwell - you mentioned a few days back that reading this thread, "I'm looking to discuss prolapse bladder or any kind of prolapse," led you to drop a note on the portal to your urogynecologist to ask some questions.
Did you get any helpful answers, @contentandwell, that you'd be comfortable sharing?
@lisalucier This particular doctor's office is not very prompt in responding, so no, I have not heard back.
I was put on Tropsium (Sanctura) which took two months of coordination to get an approval for it to be paid by my Medicare D, so I finally got it this week. It does say it may make you drowsy and I am finding it does very much, it also causes a dry mouth. You are supposed to take it in the morning but since it causes me to be drowsy/woozy I starting taking it in the middle of the night. I have asked if that's OK but have not heard back. I think the important thing is that you take it on an empty stomach.
Again, I think it took so long because her office is not good about responding to things. I am a bit disenchanted by this. I'm glad you brought this up though, I think I will call right now.

Hi everybody. I am new here I dont even know how to start a discussion. I have prolapse too and I am drinking red raspberry tea and taking collagen. I want to buy the garment too. I appreciate any coments. Also I am making an appointment with a clinic specialsing in prolapse to see my options.
@shalomadonai do the raspberry tea and collagen help? If so is collagen something you can purchase OTC?
What is the garment you referred to?
JK
Hi @shalomadonai (love the name!) I have had the prolapse since falling on a snowbank in 19996! It was then exacerbated by my Stroke in 2001! I also drink raspberry tea and cranberry juice; as my Physician told me they would help my situation! I am not allowed to try any procedures, because of my many allergies to medications and anesthesia due to Epilepsy; but hope Collagen works!
Take care and welcome to this wonderful, extremely dedicated, knowledgable, caring community!
