Grover's Disease: What works to help find relief?
I have been diagnosed with Grover's disease under my breasts. I had a biopsy for diagnosis. Tried topical ointment with no really good results. Any ideas?

I tried your garlic remedy last night and will give it a week long experiment. Why do you let the garlic sit for a bit before you ingest it? Like everyone else on this site, I'm willing to try almost anything!! Thanks for the information.
The only "side effect" I'm noticing from hydorxyzine is being groggy in the morning, kind of like a hangover without the headache. In the beginning I took one tablet but it didn't seem to be working very well so I upped it to two. I've read somewhere that it can affect your memory, but I can't remember where. Joke. It was on the AARP email I get daily.
It absolutely can affect your memory that’s why I won’t take it😪
Frogger I feel an attachment to you because back in 2019 you were a part of the orginal test group that experimented with Kimass1's suggestion to try drinking blended cilantro to put GD into remission. Like me and a small group of others you were helpful in documenting your results. I'm assuming you are still GD free like me. But I'm always vigilant and if I notice any symtom that could be the return of GD I go back on my blended cilantro for a week. Do you occasionally resume the cilantro?
Yes, recently I had a return of Grover’s. Not major so I had cilantro smoothies for 10 days. Went away quickly but the easiest fix to Grover’s. I don’t know why some sufferers avoid it. It’s a no-brainer.
And not liking the taste of cilantro is a terrible reason.
I’m interested in learning more about how large your group was back in 2019 that was involved in the study. How many participants were there? Was it published, if so is there a link ? Are you aware of any documented studies with cilantro? Fascinated to know. Thanks
I'd estimate it was a group of about 10 who posted regularly to report on the effects ingesting cilantro. This was simply an active discussion followed by those of us with GD, nothing official and we all had differences in the amount or duration in our blended cilantro, a few tried the capsules (I did briefly to begin with and found no benefit, yet perhaps my dose wasn't enough, or perhaps something is lost during the processing).
I learned about cilantro following a Mayo discussion about GD, the usual discussion, participants desperate finding no prescriptions or doctor's able to provide relief.
Researching this would be an inexpensive study for a college, but it seems this disease, considered rare, generates little interest in the medical field. We're told it's usually transient, so just rub on an expensive worthless topical and put up with it and hope it goes dormant for a period of time. If you want to look it up, I believe it is still in the archives for GD discussion and as I mentioned it would be mid-February when Kimass1 enlightened us.
A study would find many willing to participate at no expense, the GD sufferers would gladly buy their own cilantro and report back to the study leader. What a great college project because most of us noticed results within a month.
Candaceaudick- I was surprised to see that this is the very discussion, Grover's Disease: What works to help find relief?, that I was following when I learned about cilantro. There have been multiple discussions on GD so I lost track.
If you go back to Feb. 27, 2019 you will read the post by Kimass1 which began the unofficial trial group of us trying cilantro.
I’m in my third day of trying the cilantro smoothie. I’ll try almost anything since so far nothing has worked. This isthe most healthy and really hoping it works.
