Happy Tuesday!
In today's blog post you can meet Scott and his brother David. Scott was diagnosed with kidney disease and needed a transplant, and his brother David was a match. This is a timely post considering we have been seeing some discussions in our groups regarding living kidney donation. Read more about Scott and David, and let us know your questions about kidney transplant and living donation.
Thanks everyone!

@hopeful33250 Teresa thanks, I have been so concerned and worried about her. She had an MRI and a CT scan today and they do not feel it has spread anywhere and they only other thing in her breast they are sure is not a malignancy. They will put a port in on Thursday to start chemo. It will be chemo, surgery, then probably radiation. The Boston doctors really have helped her to not be as worried as she was, and my sister too.

Hello all,
A lovely pre-Friday bonus blog was posted today! We are talking about living liver donation in our recent post. Were any of you able to have a liver transplant from a living donor? In this post, we celebrate living donor and the process, and we educate hoping more people will take that first step to be tested for a friend or loved one. Living donation is one of the ways we can help cut down on wait times and get more people transplanted who are waiting for their life-saving gift. Share the post with your friends and family, and hopefully they will share with theirs!

@sandyblair - Congratulations! What a expression of love you son gave you to last a lifetime. I hope you are able to share such a successful story with others so people can learn about living organ donation (kidney and liver). Ignorance on the subject seems to be common. And what an encouragement for me (will need a kidney transplant in about one year) that you are celebrating 16 years with your new liver. Thank you for sharing.
