@wgr123 I had awful joint pain with repatha could barely walk but I stuck it out nearly a year and the pain was completely gone. I'm glad I stuck with it as it powered my lp@ and brought my LDL to 44.i can't take statins so this was my only hope

Many years ago a Dr. shared: "We humans are like snowflakes, no 2 are alike." How True ... a medication that works for 1 patient could be a big Problem to another!
@margaretfriel
LDL in the 20's?? In my research, it sounds to me like that is too low. My cardiologist wasn't happy when mine was 130. She said get it to 100. When I got to 100 she said get it to 80 and now she's telling me get it to 50 or below! Just exactly how low is too low? LDL plays essential roles in the body, including the formation of cell membranes and the production of hormones.
@manchild I have been taking Repatha for over 2 years now. My only side effect is fatigue 12-24 hours after the injection, which I manage by taking the shot before bedtime and planning an easy "day after" - usually that means take Sunday night, go to bed early, and do paperwork, etc on Monday.
I had some other side effects I thought were from Repatha, they turned out to be from my arthritis meds, which we adjusted.
My LDL dropped from 110-120 to 70, without a statin (cannot tolerate). Next test due in a few weeks. We were already on a healthy diet with one "cheat day" a week.

@discernment Great news that you are able to control your LDL so well. Congrats!
I love what @margaretfriel says, just like snowflakes no two humans are alike. There lies the challenge with lipid management.
You bring up a great question about where LDL numbers should be. This brand new podcast is exactly what you may want to listen to. In addition to the role of Repatha and quite a few other topics surrounding cholesterol, it explains the science behind when and why 55 is the number to shoot for. Please come back and let me know what you think after you listen.
I am on Repatha but am having a difficult time with the autoinjectors. I am about ready to give up and go back to statins. The side effects seem to be mild - less muscle and joint pain. A little nausea at first.

Please, all of you that use Repatha and have NO, or very minimal side effects, please chime in.

Have you had a conversation with your doctor about your unique risk factors and what her LDL goal is for you? You may have said this earlier, are you taking Repatha?
