Hello @1959,

I am so very sorry for all that your daughter is going through; please don’t worry, because you have come to a caring community here on Connect, and we will try our best to get you the help and information you need.

@karri, @dawn_giacabazi, @cweeks18, @predictable, @tanglefoot, @rwcccone, @marylu, do you have any advice for @1959?

1959, sometimes after surgery, a common complication is pneumonia. When a patient is not able to breathe in enough air to fill the lungs, because of pain, mucus builds up in the lungs, and that can cause pneumonia.

@1959, I am going to do some more research on the lung nodules that have been found, and I will write back to you as soon as I have some details; in the meantime, I am sure the mentors and members I have tagged above will get back to you. Stay strong

@1959, listen to Dawn’s advice and follow it promptly. Contact Mayo Clinic by phone for an immediate consultation. Get prepared for a recommendation that you transport your daughter to a competent broad-range medical practice. I share Dawn’s preference for Mayo Clinic because it is an integrated clinical practice that diagnosis and treats almost everything, providing expert, whole-person care to everyone who needs healing — and for whatever reason. Its major campuses are in Rochester, Minn.; Scottsdale and Phoenix, Ariz.; and Jacksonville, Fla. In addition, the Mayo Clinic Health System has dozens of locations in several states.

This kind of comprehensive investigation, diagnosis, and treatment is probably needed by your daughter right away. Can you check this web site for directions on how to contact Mayo? http://www.mayoclinic.org/about-mayo-clinic/contact . If you have any difficulty with this, come right back and ask us for more help!

Hello @1959,

How are you and your daughter doing today? You are going through such a difficult time, but I too, want to emphasize what @dawn_giacabazi and @predictable said: your daughter needs help urgently, and I am sure you are doing everything you can to help her,

Here is some information about lung nodules
According to this article by Mayo Clinic “most lung nodules are noncancerous (benign).” Read more here:
http://mayocl.in/2hf0oJm

I would also like to introduce you to Connect members, @bruce668, @tdrell, @philomena, @justjanet, @heathert, @DiannaTV; they have talked about lung nodules and may be able to help you understand your daughter’s condition better.

@1959, please let us know if there is anything else we can do to answer your questions and relieve your pain.

Hello @1959,

Hoping your daughter is feeling better. I want you to know you and your daughter have been in my thoughts and prayers.

Hi @1959 I can feel your panic and I know the feeling. She may need a lung doctor( pulmonary) to have a look at her lungs, they may even be able to put you onto a doc for the sepsis, but take her to the emergency section, the emergency room team should be putting you onto the right people, just keep asking questions until you get helpful answers, sometimes we really have to fight to get what we need unfortunatly. Wishing you all the best, keep us posted.

Thank you all so much she is getting sicker and every time we go in they keep her for a week admit her for pneumonia tell her she has bacterial sepsis fill her full of dalida then send her home with one dose of an antibiotic and nothing for pain I found something in her bag and pushed on it to see if it was another staple and I pushed it together and it tore a hole in her bag the drs Baylor scott and white the surgeon that let them give her the ketamine that was on her bracelet the allergy braclet said no ketamine they seem to be just passing the buck and pushing her out of the hospital as soon as they can 4 times now the nodules in her lungs now are spreading I’m afraid we are in harker heights tx im trying too make an appointment in houston tomorrow I just dont know I’m really afraid and alone on this but as tiff says mom god will get us through this im praying

@1959,
So happy to here from you!!!

I understand the feeling of frustration and alone. I to had been in and out of hospital and multiple ER visits. After my final Hosp discharge, my blood pressure the very next morning in my therapy session 7am, was 300/208. My physical therapist cried! We knew the md’s would just give me crisis medications and send me home. I got in my car that min and drove 5 and half hours to the ER at St Mary’s Mayo’s, Rochester MN. They admitted me immediately. They did everything they could to find the answers.

I pray you find the courage and strength to do what is needed. Your daughter is in a very sick. I pray for wisdom of the medical team, I hope she sees very, very soon.
