I think my 29 y/o Son has Chronic EBV
I’m trying to help my Son, who at 25 y/o was diagnosed with a Splenic Mass occupying 2/3s of his Spleen. An Oncology Surgeon stated that it may have been caused by a past, undiagnosed Mono Infection.
We are here hoping to find answers and find the reason behind the past couple years of random, unexplained symptoms of excessive fatigue, upset stomach, loss of appetite, lightheadedness. PCP testing has been inconclusive.
Any and all experiences, insight into, potential provider testing &/or treatments would be greatly appreciated.

I also have chronic active EBV. I am learning that people who have this usually have issues with immunosuppression. This is usually linked to possible autoimmune disease. I am still waiting to get into a rheumatologist to get an official diagnosis. However some of my test results indicate I have an autoimmune condition. Which would explain why my body cannot fight off the chronic active Epstein-Barr virus I have had since October 2025. You may want to check into some Rheumatology type testing just to evaluate if it could be linked in an autoimmune condition.
