How do you deal with dry eyes?

Hi ,I use a prescription eyedrop Restasis,I also use an eye mask (use hot or cold.)you can get on Amazon.Use at least 3x a day warm, really feels great and very relaxing. I also use Refresh Optive fusion OTC .eye drops 3x a day. Combination really helps me .I live in Canada .

Serum Tears or Autologous eye drops are compounded tears for severe dry eyes. They are made from your own blood. Red blood cells and clotting factors are removed, leaving behind blood serum. This is diluted with a sterile, preservative free solution to produce a tear substitute that is unique to the patient, and contains many important growth factors and nutrients normally found in healthy tears. Since blood and tear shave an almost identical salinity and pH, there is no issue of burning or stinging upon instillation. Because they are non-preserved, the drops are stored in the freezer until you need them. They aren’t covered by insurance so not cheap but they help SO much.
I go to OCB and I see a dry eye specialist. Cequa are eye drops that work better than Restasis. I use them 2x/day. Try Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston and ask specifically for a dry eye specialist.

Yes all my adult life. Had plugs put in tear ducts but they often come out. Talking to doc about having them cauterized

They're available at most drug stores, Walmart, etc. I used Restasis and it was actually uncomfortable and did no good. I tried most over-the-counter drops for dry eyes and found them a bust. Finally, after hearing about Rohto drops, I find them very helpful for severe dry eyes. They are cooling, refreshing, feel good, and help combat dryness better than anything so far. I'm sure the plasma retrieval may do wonders, but for those of us who can't have that treatment, these drops are a possibility.

I use them several times daily. After use, my sight is clearer, my double-vision is relieved for a bit, and I can see clearly and with much more comfort. I use them on rising in the morning and can see clearly! I'm thrilled to find them. They have been used by the model community for years in regular drops for clearing redness and puffiness. This is a dry aid that feels so good and actually works.

Hi Elizabeth - Which type of Rohto eye drops do you use? And are they preservative free? I researched them, but soooo many different options. Also, they were recalled in March, 2023. Do you know anything about that?
