Down in the dumps again – challenges with adult children
Hi everyone! It’s been awhile since I’ve posted. I started taking Cymbalta and got off the other stuff. I was doing better but the past 2 months or so not so good. I’m struggling with feeling invisible and I’m feeling very unappreciated. I feel my kids only call when they want something or have a problem. They never ask how I’m feeling nor do they try and help. I had a procedure done yesterday and neither one bothered to check on me. Adding this to my depression isn’t good. Do any of you have these same feelings about your kids? What should I do?

I’d have to look it up but I’m pretty sure it was less than 20%. Regardless I wouldn’t have finally been approved without him. I think he got 6K. It’s worth it to me.
I agree! It’s very hard to get approved in NC. I know people with MS, cancer that got turned down. You must keep impeccable records, fill things out exactly and for heavens sake make copies of everything you send out. They have quite the habit of losing things.
I applied in Ohio for Disability. Thanks for the advice

It’s called a lite book. It’s small, maybe 6” on a side. You can google lite book and it pops right up. I posted the link yesterday but I can’t find it
@hodagwi- Hello. You seem to have gotten it right with your kids. This is terrific. As I said earlier it's tough raising our kids. And you have four! Good for you.
good luck kdo!
parus- hahaha
It is also a shame to see those that are not severely disabled are approved and brag about it. Why it has become so difficult for the truly deserving. My 2 cents worth. My feelings go out to those navigating this process. Not easy. 🙂
Dittos. Absolutely true. Makes zero sense. Such a shame.
I had an interesting article show up in my Mayo Clinic news feed that I thought I would share.
