What sleep meds help you stay asleep?

I’m on a combo of Ambien and Seroquill. I knock out for exactly two hours and then. I’m just awake.

Sleep is essential!
50 mg Trazadone—One usually works but if I’m too wound up to fall asleep I take two=100mg.
I was in so much pain after my surgery I had to take three and then there was no guarantee I’d fall asleep. Ambien is à sure-fire drug but I am susceptible to addiction so I can’t take any addictive drugs.

@laurabamford4015 I'm confused. Are you saying that you take 100mg Trazodone and sleep well but uyou're afraid if you up it to 150mg. you won't sleep through? I ask because I take 150mg and sleep through about 7 hours.

I can usually fall asleep with 50 but sometimes it takes 100 or 150 for me to fall asleep. But sometimes even that doesn’t work for hours.

Thanks, Judy. How long have you been taking it. Glad that you have that positive effect helping you.

@barbaradh Off and on, for 15 years. Whenever my body starts tolerating it, I go off it and deal with the insomnia in other ways. But I always end up going back on it.

Out of everything I've tried the only thing that truly helps me is CBD and THC gummies

@mmwagner46 you are very fortunate Trazodone works for you. All it did for me was cause balance issues and blurry vision so obviously I’m not taking it now. Old age ( 79) and sleep meds can be tricky. I’m now trying vagus nerve stimulation and natural remedies.

I’m 76.
After many meds that left me feeling like a zombie, I researched progesterone. My GP prescribed 100mg capsules, I take one at bedtime. Doesn’t conflict with my diltiazem as the others did.
I’ve had 3 nights of great sleep and feel alive again.
Obviously not for guys.
