@josephene I am having terrible insomnia as well. Nothing seems to help. Any specific suggestions? Many thanks.

@gloriajean

alive read about meditation & deep breathing exercises but can't seem to keep my mind focused on that task for too long. When I eventually drop off to sleep (around 3/4 am), Ive been watching TV and have fallen asleep on my sofa with my little dog snuggled in with me. I think I get a good deep.sleep because I dont generally wake up exhausted or tired. Besides I gotta walk the do
BUT I'm 71 yr old and I know how important good sleep But I'm not tired at 1 pm. Wide awake.

@maryshipley There is a charge for the Calm app, isn't there? If so, how much is it?
Thanks.

I believe it is $69.00 for the year. Worth every penny. This app. Is teaching me to quiet my mind. Really helps to go to sleep.

Gloriejean I keep a nightlight on but then I dont have the problems you have each of us is different and have to find out what's best for them

@lioness this is so true, we each are different and need to find what works for us. I know they say to turn off electronics an hour or so before bed, but I have often fallen asleep in bed, sitting up using my IPad.

@hopeful33250 that’s what I’m doing right now. I don’t do it often but our bedroom is the only room with A/C and it’s hot out.

@gloriajean I use melatonin, 3mg, and it does not make me groggy. Unfortunately it also does not get me through the night but I have heard that the long acting prescription version will.
