Valve Disease
I'm wondering if anyone has had symptoms of valve disease that did not show up on a resting echocardiagram (ultrasound of the heart) I believe I'm having persistent symptoms of valve disease. After I exercise, sometimes a few hours later I feel pressure in my chest, shortness of breath, and sometimes fluid retention. My doctor insists that my ultrasound, ejection fraction, and valves are normal but i'm wondering if there is a valve that causes a problem only when stressed with exercise. My coronary arteries are clear. ( I just had a coronary angiogram)

@peach414144 Two things I know about Stents and Constipation. For constipation ust the Walmart Equate generic of Miralax, Clearlax. Constipation, amother other things, is caused by various forms of Amyloidosis. Oh, and eat a bit helping of grits and eggs every day or two. Stents, Just take them as they come. I have had 24 placed. Twenty four. Now I am down to about 16 after I lost some to CABG. On doc put in 14 in one procedure. Saved my life.
Maryd I found Northwestern Memorial and Dr Davidson, an interventional cardiologist, after being hospitalized for an unrelated cause. It was there I learned I had CHF, a congenital heart defect - a subaortic membrane, probably from birth (mind you I was 65 at that time), 2 valves with severe, and 1 with moderate regurgitation. Dr Davidson started working with me on adjusting my medications, he tested me to find out if I would be a candidate for TAVR, since surgery was not an option. He has always been honest with me, answers all my questions, and makes suggestions. I went to Mayo Clinic for a second opinion and they confirmed everything I’d been told. Unless something new comes on the market, I will never be able to have surgery but knowing Dr Davidson is watching my health I’m comfortable for the time being. Go online to nm.org - it’s a good site.
yes you know your stuff. The vein doctor I was using said you are fine and need no care. However, taking my extreme pain from the toes to the knees on both legs and with the inability to sleep because of this I went to a cardiologist, pulmonary doctor. He saw me on Wednesday, did an ultrasound told me to be back the very next day Thursday fasting. Put me to sleep and I woke up with three stents one on my right side and two on my left side (common iliac veins). The left side was so bad it required two stents. I will be returning soon for more workups. Now this is a doctor. I have been given paperwork on this. One to keep on my person and one for my records, Also a lenghty conversation explaining all of the necessities involved.
