What are your recommendations for travel nebulizer?

Posted by terryb1 @128128terry11t, Aug 22, 2017

A few months ago there were some emails about what to take and do when traveling. Someone from the NYC support group recommended the PariTrekS portable nebulizer. I ordered it from Just Nebulizers. When I ordered this I inquired at Just Nebulizers if this could be used with an aerobika. They referred me to Pari and its spokesperson could not definitively endorse their product with an aerobika. I got the same sense that Katherine always got that they didn't want to recommend a competitor nor endorse something for fear of liability. In any case, it can operate as an efficient nebulizer with a small compressor for travel. I ordered mine with a battery. The battery (not really needed) came defective and neither Just Nebulizers or Pari would give me a refund. Pari will be sending a replacement but as mentioned, battery is really not necessary. Hope this is helpful for the travelers on our forum. Terry

I’m on my way home from a short trip. I left my travel nebulizer there because it took an hour. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good travel nebulizer!?

Tina and everyone, I merged this discussion about travel nebulizer recommendations with an earlier discussion on the same topic:

Hi Terri @windwalker - Thank you for the update on the Pari Trek. With two of you on this thread experiencing problems with the device and Pari support, I'll keep looking, I need to replace my InnoSpire Mini portable neb. As it ages, it takes longer and longer to use.

Sue, i am going on a month long trip to Europe and need a travel nebulizer. Some time ago you mentioned the Innospire Go but it is backordered and may not be available before I leave. Wondering what would be second best option if I cannot get it? I do still have an Innospire Mini but did not seem powerful enough to run with the Adrobica combo and National Jewish, so I received the big Omron nebulizer which is too big to travel with.

Innospire Go is my only handheld. I bought it to replace a travel/rechargeable compressor type that I found too slow. Sorry, it has left my home and I can't remember which it was.
Perhaps someone else here has a recommendation?

Thanks Sue! Still learning this site and I think I posted this question to you only - did you post it to the group for comments? I just got a negative answer from one of the suppliers I work with. They say it is not available to him until sometime in September which is too late for my trip.

At home I use the Ombra with the AeroeclipseXL and my Aerobika attached. When I travel I have a Pari Trek S that works with my AeroeclipseXL with the Aerobika. It is slightly smaller and you can get it with a rechargeable battery.

Thank you. That is good to know. It is one of the recommended ones for international travel which is what I need one for. I have the same set up you have for home use but just too big for air travel.

It comes with a handy car charger as well. Not as small as the Innospire Go but I do like that I can use it with my AeroeclipseXL and my Aerobika. Happy Travels 🙂

From recommendations I saw on this forum, I purchased the Pari travel nebulizer. It works well for me. Small and compact, comes with a cord to use in the car or plug into an outlet at home so did not need to buy a charger. Pretty quick treatment.

Sadly, it is August and still the Philips Innospire Go portable mesh nebulizer is not available. It is on back order everywhere. I called Philips and they don’t know when it will be in stock. She talked about the problems associated: supply chain problems, etc.
And they have a rather long back order client list - people they will call when in stock. I’m on the list but don’t hold out much hope.

We are traveling to Africa the end of the month and I’m going to have to select something lightweight that delivers fine particles to the lower lungs. If anyone has any thoughts on this, I would appreciate knowing. It would need to be a mesh delivery system.

Thanks in advance.
