Online ~ Check In Support Group: All Topics ~ Just Say What's On Your Mind

Posted by Roxie43 @roxie43, Mar 19, 2012

I'm praying to return to full-time work soon, I'm a mom, a grandma, a sister, a daughter, an ex-wife who will always be supportive, a friend, a consumer, a strong advocate for equality, and in being all these things like many of you life can get hectic.
So, I thought that instead of posting about 1 specific topic, I would post a generic discussion so you all can connect and support one another regardless of the topic
We, human beings, have so much to share and express and get non-judgemental feedback on that it seemed logical.
So many of us, perhaps all of us, could use a little breather from what initially attracted us to this website.
I'm sure there are so many other things going on (Good & stressful) in our lives; that we would like to explore and brainstorm on that if given the opportunity we just may be better equipped to confront what originally brought us here.
The common goal is to express yourself, bounce ideas off each other, learn because there is a level of learning that takes place (I have learned so much) and simply support one another.
What I have noticed about my postings on depression is that we have a common thread of discussions and they branch out to other aspects of who we are; work, relationships, stress, burn out, frustrations, joy's, meaning, goals, aging gracefully, side effects and human kindness.
I met a special friend on this site "Piglit", and I'm sure many of you have been blessed by her kindness as well, and it is simply a wonderful feeling, when you can establish new relationships and can give other's a break and expand your support network!
So, who will take a chance and post first?!!"
In solidarity about being good to thy neighbors 🙂

When a loved one passes it is difficult no matter how old they were. My paternal Grammy passed and lived to 96. She had a full life and I'm humbled to have been part of it until she was moved to a warmer state because the cold was getting to be much. My favorite paternal uncle told me today that he was ok because her final year's were difficult for her as her health was declining.
I find solace in knowing that she is no longer suffering. I'm home thinking of what to pack and reminiscing of earlier times...kind of nostalgic
cherish your loved ones.

Hello, thank you for the reminder, there is good, sometimes I forget. Our 17 yr old son is bi polar and my aging mother has Alzeimers. Our son is in a difficult age anyway and adding the bi bolar is just plain nuts sometimes. We are always tweaking his meds. She does live with us. Sometimes I go home and just want to turn around and leave. I have kleptomanica and steal. So life is not barrel of laughs. My husband is a saint who I sometimes wonder how he stays as we celebrate 20 years.
How does one put some of this to rest and get over our own problems? Thanks for the input.

Well I had a good nights sleep for a change but I woke up with a swollen left eye. I have to laugh because I feel like an old beat up car that needs a serious tune-up! Oh well, it's not the end of the world. Have a nice day my friends and remember that each day we wake up is a blessing and an opportunity to make an impact in our lives as well as others ..positive impacts ....
