@pjss48 Hi pj, and welcome to Connect.
Could you tell us a little bit more about your sleep problems? Have you tried anything to help with them, or have you spoken to your doctor? He or she may be able to help you. Also, there are many suggestions on the internet that some find helpful, such as breathing to a pre-defined count, inhaling, holding your breath, and exhaling.
I do not have personal experience with meditation but I know some people do find it helpful.
There are some sleep aids, such as Benadryl and melatonin that are not too habit forming. If you try Benadryl, it should only be for an occasional night, not for daily usage. Obviously, the best solution is one that does not require medication, be it OTC or prescription.

I hope you are able to find some relief, I know how frustrating it is to lie awake at night for hours. I go through that when I am anxious about something but right now I am doing fine and getting to sleep in a reasonable amount of time. I hope too that you are able to define what is causing your sleep problems, that's half of the battle I think.

Thank you so much for your kind thoughts. This has been a very anxious day for me. It has not been good but all I can do is hang in there and do the best I can. I do appreciate your concern and help regarding sleep. I sleep about 6 hours a night so I consider myself bless for being able to sleep that long God Bless you Patti
Hi Patti. I don't know how old you are, and I'm not asking, but as we get older we tend to need less sleep. Also, if you're getting close to enough it's the type of sleep we get too.

Thanks to all who commented on Sleeping problems. I stopped being nervous right now plus eating a late lunch. I tried to be added to Members but I don't know if I did it right. I'm not very technical

Hi, @pjss48 – I merged your word of thanks to this thread where you mentioned sleeping problems, so that those who talked with you might see it.
You mentioned you stopped being nervous. What do you think may have helped with that?
Eating lunch. I waited too long. Communicating with support group, and working on thinking right.
I am 73 years old. Had another good nights sleep last night but this morning those same old anxiety feelings have returned. Its all I can do to keep up with it all. Anxiety is a really awful feeling and I seem to have it more and more. Maybe just something I am going through usually its worrying about something which really is the main cause for all this depression and anxiety. I just try to get through each day as best I can. I have a wonderful husband that is helping me all the way. What a blessing. Go to my doctor next week but I'm afraid almost to tell him these new pills he put me on are not doing the joh. Just scared he will give up on me. There must be something out there that will help God Bless you all Patti

Don't know what(something specific) really means. Just ask what you need to know. I'm open and will tell you ….really! I'm 73 years old depression and sadness has run in my family (icluding my grandmother). Ask and I will be glad to "fill you in" God Bless you and thank you for taking interest in my
