Glutathione: What dosage do you use? Where do you get it?

Posted by kathleenlp @kathleenlp, Apr 4, 2022

Hi! Yes, I have ALL these but doing surprisingly well...mostly asymptomatic. Got HMPV at Christmas, pretty sick but bounced back. On a mission to try some out of the box treatments to keep me well. If you have used glutathione in a nebulizer, can you tell me who (type doctor) prescribed and what dosage etc. and did you think it helped? Also Sodium Chloride.

I didn’t know that insomnia was a side effect of NAC. Taking it in the morning would mean taking 1/2 of the daily recommended dose? Or would you take 2 capsules and once a day?

only some people get that side effect.

yes. will try again sometime but from everything i have read nebulizing the Glutathione directly into the lungs should give me more results. Time will tell. I don't think you are supposed to do both of them at the same time. Also NAC can have some side effects. I took it for 10 or so days in the past and became very fatigued (not from insomnia that time). Had to stop. But if it helps without side effects i am sure it is worth doing!

Are we talking insomnia or sleep interrupted by coughing and spitting phlegm? After many nights of this it can feel like insomnia!

I have been nebulizing w Theranaturals glutathione for about three years now.
I can not take oral NAC as it causes mouth sores— I’ve tried three different brands, all cause cancer sores. It is a rare side effect of taking NAC.
Some of you are taking a subliminal version of glutathione— what is that?
And does the body actually absorb it past the stomach acids?

I’ve read taking straight glutathione orally doesn’t get past the stomach acid and is unreliable source of glut. Anyone hear a way to get glut absorbed besides taking NAC?
Thanks

you can get it on Amazon sublingual. I think it does absorb. But for lung issues nebulizing is more direct.

I have read posts here that mention liquid Glutathione as the Gold Standard for nebulizing. But no one has mentioned a brand or where you can buy it? Does it have to be prescribed? I am currently using the capsules from Theranaturals but would like to try the liquid. Also how is the liquid used? Can you add it to the 7% saline as you can with the capsule? Or? would appreciate any information. And if you have used it for a period of time has it helped? I do not have MAC but i do have chronic Pseudomonas A. with heavy mucus load daily.

Hi Irene. I had to get the Glutathione liquid from a "Functional MD"
It did NOT agree with me tho...made coughing, tightness worse and overall felt badly.
I had read it can have adverse affects depending on the person. I was disappointed and now do the sublingual only. Two pumps....not sure it does anything but not bothering me!! $$$

I have found some researching on the internet....good and bad results...I could not tolerate and nothing has bothered me before including the 7% saline 😎

There are also glutathione skin patches. I have no idea how well the glutathione is absorbed and utilized. As with all things glutathione, they aren't exactly cheap.
