I am finally giving up COVID can have me

Posted by billie6977 @billie6977, Jan 23, 2023

After now being 7 plus months of being tortured, over looked, and passed up. I am here to tell you all I am done trying. The pain of rejection hurts more than the pain left behind from Covid. All I wanted when I tried to make contact with the Mayo Clinic was for a doctor with a little knowledge of what is happening with me to just speak with me, but nope. I was sent a email stating there's no resources for me they were sorry to inform me my application was closed. That is it besides you can't contact this email. No reply!!!
I reached out to everyone and everywhere I could and nobody and I mean nobody responded. Except for the normal I will pray for you, called me a drug addict ( I don't take meds even so how is that), lie to me and lastly there is not one red care in this world for me. So I am here to say Thanks for nothing folks. I am done if I die nobody is going to care. I bet not one person has even read this message.

Try low dose naltrexone . LDN . It’s started at 1 mg then slowly titrated up to 4.5 mg daily. Lots of references on line. Copy links and discuss w your primary or rheumatologist if you have one. There is new evidence that long Covid may have similar pathway to chronic fatigue syndrome. High inflammation after viral infection followed by long list of symptoms overlapping. Severe fatigue, brain fog, memory issues, insomnia, joint and muscle pain. Mayo, Stanford, Columbia all are doing trials currently. Few small studies showed good results. It’s very safe . No harm trying it. It’s also very cheap. Best of luck.

LDN saved my wife's life in February of this year. She is still very sick but better than December and January. She was so sick we had "end of life" discussion with out Dr (not Mayo, they have not accepted her). Today she can read books again and walk around the house.
She started at 1.5 mg and increased by 1mg every 30 days. The other day she finally made 4.5mg. This the target dose.
LDN does not work for everyone.
TRY IT, you gave nothing to loose.

I've had long covid since 2020 and got it again this past March. Vertigo and fatigue. But you shouldn't give up I'm 85 and staying upright is a daily exercise . I'm a praying person so my help comes from above till He takes me home.

Check into the PRC at Jacksonville or Minnesota Mayo campuses. Pain rehabilitation Clinic directed by Dr Christopher Sletten. Also please read my post of today on page 22? of this blog.

I will pray for you. I’ve been there - still there! And still experiencing issues. But understand when I say this - PRC HELPS!!! I will testify to this on any level!

Please don't give up. My son was at that point when we purchased some hyperbaric chamber treatments for him. He is almost back to his old self. Call around because prices vary greatly.

I am very fed up. I have gone to Ucla for the Covid study and they don’t even have an answer. I just been spending a lot of money on test and my heart my lungs bloodwork and there’s no help. I’ve had it for one year. I’ve lost my job apply for long-term disability and they said you have to wait six months to be approved, does anyone have any suggestions about medical insurance? I tried to apply for Medi-Cal and I was turned down.

Hi @jimmy4. So sorry you are experiencing this daunting journey as so many of us are. Since mentioned Ucla under impression in Ca so Covered California and your local county good sources for very low cost insurance for anyone. Also suggest check what qualifying Medi Cal criteria for your area. Denial may be a simple clerical issue or miscategorization of asset, retirement fund, bank accounts etc. Best to you on healing journey 🌈

I do have a lot of frustration I have been in and out of doctor's offices but every time I go they're only wanting to do with the fact I have digestive problems I've now been diagnosed with gastroparesis I have lost close to 60 pounds yes I can't get up and move around a little bit and yes I I may have some anger issues that I'm dealing with but with that being said it's because the ball doesn't roll fast enough after 2 months I've tried to get answers at a definite diagnosis so I can apply for disability or get better whatever it is I just wish I do I finally have a appointment as of last night 3:30 of the morning after I wrote this post with a doctor one week from today. I reached out to the Mayo Clinic for one fact and one fact only because the person who deals with things that are out of their control that I personally don't want to put on here or anywhere else I thought the safest it really felt that this was their answer for me but I guess I was wrong but please don't be be up because I hurt so bad in my heart. And I mean no disrespect or ugliness to anyone I'm not angry but please walk in somebody's shoes mentally and try to understand where they're coming from . Empathy goes a long way God bless you all and I apologize that I vented on here I thought this is more of a support group then anything thanks for listening

Your needs are important. Your life is valuable.
Your time is valuable.
You are heard.

Most people do not understand Long Covid-they do not understand empathy (sadly)
They have not walked in your shoes.

If a doctor does not hear or respect my needs- I walk out. I now only go to doctors that I get referred from my personal doctors. Being disrespected is disgusting- we are all worth more.

Thoughts and prayers

Long Covid 2+ years
When I cry, I cry. But when I can fight, I give it everything I have.

Talk to your healthcare provider about taking vitamins. I take b, c, and d, as well as zinc and iron. It has really helped.
