I am finally giving up COVID can have me

Posted by billie6977 @billie6977, Jan 23, 2023

After now being 7 plus months of being tortured, over looked, and passed up. I am here to tell you all I am done trying. The pain of rejection hurts more than the pain left behind from Covid. All I wanted when I tried to make contact with the Mayo Clinic was for a doctor with a little knowledge of what is happening with me to just speak with me, but nope. I was sent a email stating there's no resources for me they were sorry to inform me my application was closed. That is it besides you can't contact this email. No reply!!!
I reached out to everyone and everywhere I could and nobody and I mean nobody responded. Except for the normal I will pray for you, called me a drug addict ( I don't take meds even so how is that), lie to me and lastly there is not one red care in this world for me. So I am here to say Thanks for nothing folks. I am done if I die nobody is going to care. I bet not one person has even read this message.

Look, first I am not suicidal and I'm too big of a coward to ever even do something like that.
Second, I can understand the doctors and medical staff are under pressure and over worked, but to not even give a person the common decency of knowing what to do. They just said, "This location doesn't have the service, so we are denying you application." That was harsh in my book especially when I said I really if I can't be seen in this location please direct me in a way that I maybe seen elsewhere. After so may doors closing and I am about to be left with no help no directions on what I can do. I have just decided let it kill me who cares.? I don't know of anyone who would shed a tear for me. I want to put this out there also, if you look at past posts, I have poor insurance I pay almost $600 a month for and I still had to use over $7,000 in out of pocket expenses. To not have an answer for anything. This amount is just since 1/2/23. This why I lost hope for humanity and the country we live in. I have done several fundraisers and I have shared my links for support and out of 10,000 views, I have had only 6 donate. Some people will never understand the struggle some of us have in Rural towns. There isn't one COVID center within a 4 hour radius. Except one and it's already booked till Apr

This response of mine WILL NOT fix anything… but Billie? You sound like someone I’d like. When you said”… and I’m too big a coward to do anything like that…” I was just grinning. Some amazing people in rural America have gotten by for so long with so little help… and Billie doesn’t have anyone to move near, sounds like. You’ve toughed it out, and now you can’t. You need help, and are frustrated because you don’t ever ASK for help… but now that you need it, it isn’t there. It takes energy to call, to look, to talk to anyone, to try. I know you don’t want to be a burden, but sometimes letting someone help you is THE hardest thing. I wonder if there is anyone in your… church? someone who could come in and help make calls. You need help. I just want you to know that I’m hearing you say that— you need answers, you are being left out in the cold, and have no recourse. There are others who can make ‘good’ suggestions; I just simply wanted to look at what you are pointing at and say: “oh no. This is impossible!” I am hearing you. And I’m so so very sorry.

I can't take it anymore. I have done everything to get help and have gotten nowhere. They are turning my lights off, my car insurance is expired at Midnight and I can't get assistance because my employer fired me saying I was a no call no show. So basically I quit my job. So, now I don't have any resources. I have done 2 fundraisers just so I could get people cutting me down. I am wiped out and done and beat to my limit of disappointment. PS Mayo dismissed me with out even talking to me.

sorry to hear that -
cedars has a great online support group where we all do our individual research and help each other out with what we find.https://www.cedars-sinai.org/newsroom/cedars-sinai-launches-covid-19-recovery-program/

A lot of us to differing degrees feel the same way about health care. Many of us have found that the journey is one in which we are, again to differing degrees, on our own.
I would suggest investigating the latest scientific research on health. Hubermanlab.com is a place you might start. Your problems with covid seem to have pushed you into a state of depression - justifiably so. I went through a similar, although not as severe, period after radiation treatments for prostate cancer. There are things you can do to improve your mood and body health. Please take the time to do your own research - there may be an answer out there for you.

Hang in there, you are not alone and many of us care. I think someone has to suffer with long Covid before they can understand what we go threw. I’ll tell you what a nurse told me at the beginning. Don’t give up, never give up. She and her friend are both nurses and have long covid.

I have no idea if you’ll ever read this because it looks like you wrote your post in Jan 2023 and it’s now 2024. I am hoping Covid did not take you. Even though I don’t know you, I feel like all of us who are experiencing Covid and it’s after effects are sort of connected by it. Many of us are getting “ignored” because even though we have symptoms, many tests are still coming back normal. I don’t think the healthcare system knows what do do with us because they can’t find explanations for our symptoms because tests are coming back normal. I mean how can you say things like brain fog from Covid isn’t real when millions are complaining of it as a result of Covid. I really think because the illness is so new and not much is known about it, nobody really knows what to do as far as treating us. I can certainly understand your frustration and feelings of being overlooked and not listened to, I think we’re all getting that to some degree, some more than others. When all you want is to be heard and helped, it’s very difficult when it doesn’t happen. I don’t know what your struggles are with Covid because you really didn’t say, but I hope you find solace.

After one pfaccine, I have microclots determined by MedHelp. I went through their treatment plan and feel better. I will never be perfect without long term medication but I can function now.

Functioning sounds better than what you previously experienced. I hope you continue to advocate for yourself because functioning is better but not enough

I hear you. I just feel like the damage is permanent just like my hypothyroidism is way before covid happened. I think my next step will be to get more testing done (mold, heavy metals etc).

Prayers for you and 100% healing.
