How to stop the vibrations?

Posted by mojobass @mojobass, Aug 27, 2023

Anyone have tips on stopping these vibrations? It's been a couple years and they don't let go. Only last about 30 seconds but scares me and I get all saddened and that nobody knows what's going on. I've done MRI's EEG's bloodwork and everything comes back clear. I am glad to have found this forum to know I am not alone,,,

I too have the vibrations. I have been to the ER countless times (retired RN with 36 years work at a level one trauma center in Cleveland OH) and I too, despite my years of being a reputable RN, have been looked at like I needed a psych consult when I explained to the numerous nurses and docs that I had head, chest and abdominal vibrations since getting Covid in 9/2022. Sometimes I go all day with them and some days all day without. I see FUNCTIONAL MED as CLEVE CLINIC and they have me on Low Dose Naltrexone as a post viral anti-inflammatory and a mast cell stabilizer called KETOTIFEN 1 mg every 12 hours. After 6 weeks of Ketotifen I felt the med was not really helping so I am now on Singulair as a mast cell stabilizer. I just started it a few days ago so we will see... However Functional Medicine at Cleve Clinic feels Covid has caused a MAST CELL disturbance where my immune system is in hyper mode from the Covid and is causing many of my long haul symptoms, and these meds were prescribed to settle down my system. For some odd reason my B6 levels are also consistently high for no known cause and this can cause a lot of nerve pain, which I have. All my skin biopsies were normal for small nerve fiber disease like peripheral neuropathies. Since Covid I have lost 25 pounds, have abdominal pain with eating and all scopes, biopsies and abdominal scans are all normal. My legs also feel odd...like they are weak and feel very weird when I walk, yet they are not really weak in reality, if that makes any sense. I have seen countless specialists and they all scratch their heads with my symptoms, but I really wish the vibrations in my head and torso would go away. I have even tried a special wrist vibrator that they felt would "re-set" my nervous system but that only started up my palpitations again. If anyone has any idea how to stop these mini Earthquakes going on in my body I would greatly appreciate it.

After reading all these responses it is evident 1. We are not alone in this Covid forest 2. The medical professionals have not found the treatment compass to guide us out! But they now know we are here. My vibrations are constant but thankfully not painful so more of a nuisance that could drive me crazy if I let it! Hang in there fellow vibrators! Many hugs.

Are you calling vibrations what I call trimmers or quivers in my muscles? Shaking inside but not visable to people is that what you are calling vibrations????? Because I have had that since Dec. 2020. Yes I have vibrations. Plus spasms, cramps in my muscles that no one can explain. It drives me crazy. Anyone have a reason for them? Or a treatment? Thank you fellow post covid victims.

Yes! You are right on the money with how you describe it all. I am shaking inside but it is not visible to people however in the countless EKG's and abdominal MRI's that I get they picked up on these tremors as saying that my MRI images were not clear because I was moving. I WAS NOT MOVING AT ALL and was as still as a stiff. As a nurse I know how important it is to be still during these scans and I can tell you that it was not me moving. It was the vibrations interfering with the quality of my MRI images. In terms of the EKG's...I had many that said "artifact" on the wave lines but again, I WAS NOT moving at all. It was the vibrations causing the EKG device which is sensitive to bodily movement whether internal or external and it picked up on my vibrations! I finally felt vindicated when the EKG's and scans showed this. The problem only is that they dont know what to do about it. I have had my TRYPTASE levels checked as well as Vitamin B6 levels and they are over the high end of norm. No reason for my B6 to be high...I do not take B6 supplements or any multivitamins. My Tryptase levels mean that my mast cells are on alert and are releasing histamine. I went on a low histamine diet that helped a little bit after about 5 weeks. The vibrations are there,,,,but less intense. I was losing my mind from them when they were in full force. I also have muscle twitches that the medical community calls fasciculations. They are tiny muscle twitches from irritated nerves trying to send messages to your muscles. I am on Ativan 0.25 mg (baby dose) for the tremors, twitches and vibrations. It helps a little. I only take a little because it is addictive so I try to tolerate whatever I can in terms of crazy sensations so not to become dependent on the ativan(lorazepam) . Talk to your dr about lowdose Lorazepam and see if theyll agree. Also MAGNESIUM helps with muscle conductivity and I started taking Re-Mag (sold on AMAZON) that seems to be helping a bit. talk to your DR about all these things before starting anything because everyone has medical issues that need addressed first and may also be on other meds that need looked in to before taking anything over the counter.

I call these “adrenaline rushes”. Anyway that’s what it feels like to me. I have been to endocrinologist and they pronounce me entirely normal. I was sure they would find something out of whack. Frankly I’ve just stopped talking about it because it gets me nowhere. I get them early in the morning every day. I guess it’s my “wake up” call. It’s sometimes very early and there’s no going back to sleep. Then I get them now and then through the day. Like others, mine tend to be when I am quiet, trying to rest, relax or watching tv. It starts in the pit of my stomach and radiates down my legs and up my body. My head , for this has not been involved.
Just one more crazy disturbing symptom.

I apparently no longer have PVC heart palpitations. They have been replaced by Atrial Fibrillation. Two Dr's I have spoken to think the vibrating head rushes are Atrial Fibrulation at work.

Whatever they call it, it sucks.
I hope you find some help. These “rushes” I have don’t include my head. My head is already occupied with tinnitus, hyperacusis, clogged ears, and blurry vision.
God help us all.

Thanks for sharing,no definite reason or treatment. I find movement, exercise and stretching seems to help. No pills or real solutions, sorry but stay positive... PAUL
