How about a laugh, (hopefully)

Posted by Leonard @jakedduck1, Dec 31, 2018

I believe laughter is the best medicine. Laughter has actually been scientifically proven to help people with depression issues.
Let’s give it a try so we can all get happy and feel better. Many Epilepsy forums I’ve been on had joke sections. I was probably the biggest joke of all since I didn’t get a lot of the jokes. They said the jokes couldn’t be above 4th grade level for me to understand them so my jokes may be rather simplistic but let’s give it a try.
Have a lovely day everyone,
Jake

Hello friends
I have a bit of news
You will know I have been making my own wreaths for Michael’s grave, now my hobby is my new business
I make the wreath
I place them on the grave of their loved one
I send a photo to the client so they can see my arrangement
Then after 3 weeks I take the wreath off and recycle it
I have been really busy with orders
So nice to have a purpose so enjoy doing them
I am on instagram too.
Thought I’d share
Michael would be proud of me.xx

This is amazing news and I know Michael would be immensely proud of you! I’m so proud of you too and blown away by your resilience from when we first met til now…starting your own business to bring joy to others through your kindness!

It’s almost like Michael had a guiding hand into this new venture for you. We really never know what door will open when one closes.
Michael’s passing was a such a deep tragedy. I know you keep him close in your heart and visit with him every day when you take your walks to the cemetery. This has been so therapeutic for you. But not everyone is able to visit or decorate the grave of their loved ones as often as they’d like. So to have you share your newly discovered talent for making these wreaths and to be able to provide this service for others, is just outstanding. What a lovely way to help others…

Wish you lived closer, I’d have you doing this for me in a heartbeat!
Michael would indeed be proud.

Are these wreaths with fresh flowers? I’m not on instagram but you could sure post a picture here. ❤️

Yes
Always fresh flowers
By far the best, and deserved
I am happy to send you a few photos
Thank you for your kind words
The idea of waking up and having this project is just helping me so much
And yes
I wish we lived nearer too…

I found this and hope you like it.

Beannacht (Old Irish Blessing)
- by John O'Donohue

On the day when the weight deadens
On your shoulders
And you stumble,
May the clay dance to balance you.

And when your eyes freeze behind the grey window
And the ghost of loss gets in to you,
May a flock of colours,
Indigo, red, green,
And azure blue,
Come to awaken in you a meadow of delight.

When the canvas frays in the currach (ship) of thought
And a stain of ocean blackens beneath you,
May there come across the waters
A path of yellow moonlight
To bring you safely home.

May the nourishment of the earth be yours,
May the clarity of light be yours,
May the fluency of the ocean be yours,
May the protection of the ancestors be yours.

And so may a slow wind work these words
Of love around you,
An invisible cloak to mind your life.
