Eliquis side effects

Posted by betyna @betyna, Apr 20, 2023

3 months ago I had a blood clot removed from my Mesenteric artery.
I have been on eliquis 3 months, I am having leg pain, weakness, and I am fatigued. Do all blood thinners make people tired and weak?

@ruth36 Interesting comment. Thanks. I am on Eliquis and have no knee problem. Knock on wood I don’t get it. I walk every day for at least 40 minutes. If I miss a day, I make it up. Seems to keep knees in shape? Maybe anyway.

I’m curious, how long have you been on Eliquis and what is milligrams that you take? I take 5 mg in the morning and five at night

Thanks

I started after AFib incident in May 2024. I take 2.5 mg mornings and again evenings. I weigh about 130 lbs. I have had more varicose or visible veins in arms and legs than before, but nothing terrible.

I know an overweight man who is an MD himself (not sure of his specialty). He was taking the tiniest microdose of Eliquis and had a brain bleed type stroke (I am not sure of correct vocabulary here. I meant to distinguish a bleed-type from a clot-type event.) He seems to be pretty well recovering, but it has been months of effort.
