I have heard that there is. I watch Dr. Becker and Cindy Becker at 4 o’clock on CTN and there are certain supplements you can take that will help you dissolve that or dietary changes that will help it get better. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s what I’ve heard. Maybe you could Google it check on it. Most regular physicians unless they’re with integrative medicine do not believe there’s anything that can help but certain supplements will help you with this condition. If you want to check it out at least that’s what I’ve heard. I hope so.
Will do!
Many thanks
I'm waiting for Praulent insurance authorization. May I ask your cost for Praulent? I have a high CAC score and will be getting a stress test/dye next week. My APOE 3/4 allele is probably responsible for my CAC score. My Lp(a) is 115.2 nmol/L, and APOB 91. Since Lp(a) is an independent factor, taking a statin, exercising or dieting will not reduce it, and taking a higher statin can increase your Lp(a) by up to 20%. Cardiologists say Lp(a) is not a plaque burden molecule it's a plaque de-stabilizer and mostly related to the Carotid artery, not CAC scores. I told my Cardiologist I wanted a CIMT (carotid intima-media thickness) sonogram. He said he had no idea where I could get one. PCSK9's reduces Lp(a) up to 32% and LDL up to 70%. siRNA (Leqvio) Can reduce Lp(a) up to 90% and up to 50% for LDL.
I take Repatha not what you were looking at, but they are similar. I do not have familiar -hereditary high cholesterol problems.LPa is associated with that and my score is within bounds. Contact Mayo clinic or Cleveland clinic and see if they can direct you to the test you are asking your doctor for
My reading indicates there is no "getting better" from arterial calcium - given our timeframe (life) the already formed cholesterol will not be dissolved, and when converted to calcium will not be dissolved. If you hear of ANYONE that has a calcium score that has been reduced, please let all of us know.
I have read of no "supplements" that will affect or reduce calcium in the arteries.
