@merpreb I don't think it is a rescue inhaler. It is a use as needed but no more than 3 (or 4) times a day inhaler. And I usually use it after my weight training and just before my run.

@joelars- those are the directions on my rescue inhaler. You should read more info about it or ask your Dr or pharmacist. Ok?

@merpreb that is what the docs and the pharmacist told me. Maybe the non medical term is "rescue" inhaler. As long as it's used properly what difference does it make? I just know it is the only one they want me to have. I just saw the pulmonary doc last week. I asked about new, additional or more effective inhalers he told me there were none, at least for me. That is the same inhaler they gave me 13 years ago, but I'm not complaining. My answer is not a palliative remedy (unless it is end of life-then I want generous access to fentanyl) it is my efforts at rehab-that's all I've got, unless they devise a break-through procedure that reverses the small airway damage.

@joelars and @merpreb, sounds like you both are using your inhalers as directed and with exercising. I believe you're both on the same page.

@joelars- It doesn't make any difference what name it is called, you are right. I wasn't trying to argue. It looks like you are on your way to knowing what is next, with your appointment coming up. I hope that it makes your life easier knowing what is going on until there is a breakthrough. Please come back and let us know what the new Pulmonary dr. says. Will you?

@merpreb Hi,
no problem-even if you were arguing. I see an allergist next Monday. I don't see the pulmonary guy until next year-and if it was his choice it wouldn't be that soon.

I can't find my older post from last year where you replied the other day.. What was the newer medication you mentioned that combined the ones I am taking? I will ask my Drs about it. Thanks. Is there a way to search for posts we have made here ?
