Try using an ice pack on the area for a short period of time. Cold really did help me before the laser. I am sorry it did not work for you as well. I am grateful it did for me. I have a local friend that absolutely loves his as well. Or as you finish your shower finish with as cold of water as you can stand on the effected area. I still do that every day when I shower, but mine is on my forehead and scalp so that is different then on your back. Or this summer, even if you don't normally swim go to the pool and let the cool water relax those nerves.

Did you try medical marijuana and did that also not help you? What about kratom? Those are the two sure fire things for Linda's pain. Nothing else has touched it.

Heads up. The DEA is trying to get Kratom moved to Schedule I

My doctor just took away one more pain pill from me. Yes, it was an opioid. I was on three a day--he took one away--now--he has taken another one away--leaving me with so much pain and one a day. I couldn't sleep--have pain in legs and back so bad--I got out of bed and was kicking my legs like a cheerleader and I am now in my eighties! I was having so much pain and doing bends, kicks, I don't know what all and kicked my dog in the face. That poor baby--he has his own pain--he has a torn ACL which we are treating. I suppose he did this because of the government. All I can say is this is enough to make a preacher cuss.

Then you remind him gently that his job is to treat you not the government. 😉

I am Dawn. I have a complex medical history. I've had ACDF surgery in 2019, it was successful. I have a few herniated doscs in L5/S1. Ive had 1 epidural steroid injection mid Jan. 2021. I also have adult scoliosis and neuropathy. In July 2020, I had a 2nd rotator cuff repair, but post op, my clavicle broke. Only thing is I didn't know this until 2.5 weeks post surgery. Surgery to pin the clavicle was Sept 2020. I continue with physical therapy. I am in pain daily, and I'm only 45 yrs of age. Definitely not where I thought I'd be in life.

He has to justify lowering your dosage, woogie. He can’t just spout something like “opioids don’t work for nerve pain.” If you were maintained at a certain level and now you are not, TELL HIM. NOW. Call his office this minute. Report your symptoms, your pain levels. Show him what his actions are doing to his patient. You are the patient, not him. The guidelines are not for him or you, they are for others who do not KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING OR DON’T NEED THE MANAGEMENT. You need to be vocal. I know it’s hard to do so when the doctors are the ones who are supposed to know what to do. But they are not acting like doctors right now, they are acting like confused sheep.
Go to the AMA website and print off the opioid letter stating they don’t agree with the guidelines. Take it to him. He is the specialist not you. Ask him to act like one. You are the one who must LIVE with his actions, not the DEA, not the government. And you are suffering. Is that his intentions, what he was taught to do?

Make him think about what he’s doing. Do not speak to him in YOUR language, but HIS. Doctors only understand what they know. Go to him on his level. He took an oath to DO NO HARM. The government DID NOT.

Great to keep up with PT. Do you have access to a pain management clinic or pain rehab program?

Wow! Maybe the doctor realizes you are taking too many opioids and are totally addicted and he is trying to wean you off the extremely high dose of 3 per day equals 180 pills per month😳
Maybe there is a better way for you🙏
