Hello ladyjane85. After reading the many posts of multiple surgeries & decades of pain, my situation sounds minor indeed but these posts are also quite frightening. What if my surgery doesn't help also or only leads to more pain & less hope! Must stop over thinking & stay positive.

two kitties Many people are healed with one surgery, and things do not
deteriorate further. So head up, after a brief recuperation and learning
some back exercises in PT I wish you many years of a happy existence.
ladyjane85

@twokitties Hello twokitties my name is briansr..I saw your post and wish you all the luck on your surgery. Ive had 8 low back and cervical surgeries, all were a have to. The first two were lumbar L4-S1, I couldn't walk. You might need some help when you get home. I am done, everyone I've had has caused the disc above or below to crumble. This has been a 33yr battle and they want to another one. I'm sure yours will go fine. I asked my dr what was wrong with me and he just said I was messed up. I will say a prayer for a speedy recoverj and no more leg pain. briansr
Hi two kittens, well I have been fighting with leg and hip pain for over a
year. After 8 weeks of PT I have Spinal Stenosis, which has led to
Degenerative Disc Disease. No operation suggested. Hope this helps. Shay.
We all have our own pain. If anyone ever says they hurt worse than you, ask them, how do you know. Everyone seems to own their own pain, I'll never know how you feel, and you'll never know how I feel, tell them it's not a contest. briansr
Has anyone said this to you. I think everyone's pain is different. There's
different kinds of pain too. I don't understand why people say such things.
I get a type of panicy response when someone thinks I'm find and disregards
my pain and expects me to do something. This does happen anymore but I
still remember how that felt. You sound like you are strong and handled the
situation when a person was not understanding of your pain.
@suebreen54 From briansr. I look fine, can walk and talk, so a lot of people and doctors think, there's nothing wrong with him. While inside my body is screaming. If they only knew.
ladyjane85 I am sorry you have so much pain, I think all of us here suffer a lot and it seems they (the rulers) are trying to make it more. I have lost count of the surgeries I have had and I have decided to not have any more if at all possible. I am 68 and have had chronic pain since I was 20 so I think it is time to stop prolonging things and let God make the decisions for me. I hope things go well for you and that if you have this surgery it will be the one to make things better for you. I have talked to my doctor about things and he suggested a hospice? I need to explore that more with him. God Be With You. 19lin
