No. No fainting. It’s just a disorientation of sorts. Very hard to describe. It’s the ischemia.
I have had the whoosh feeling also. In my case it lasts for say 10-15 minutes. I get double vision, and feel unbalanced. I ended up in the ER. I have cut back on caffeine also. I am on blood thinner Plavix, BP meds, and cholesterol meds. I feel good most of the time. I would love to know why this whoosh feeling occurs.
The brain is a tricky thing.😕
Hi, I have had that as well. Some tow it has lasted for hours. None of my Scots know what it is as well. I'm on 81 mg aspirin, a statin, and no pills. My doctor is going to add a be t a blocker but not sure of which one as my p and heart rate go to low.
Hello @sally12345,
I appreciate you adding to this discussion. You mention that your doctor is going to add a beta blocker. Is that to treat this symptom as well?
Hi, with this disease you eventually have heart palpitations. It effects it. The beta blocker is too even the heart rate .
Yes, it is.
what e you folks doing for bladder control from brain ishemia?
Hello @bamaobie1
That is a good question! Has your doctor made any suggestions? If not, you might ask for a referral to a pelvic floor therapist.
I still don't have a diagnosis, so I don't know the origin. I was prescribed oxybutynin for bladder control. It really works! I take 1 at night, 1/2 daytime. Hope this may help.
