Hello @bamaobie1 and welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. As this is your fist post, I'm wondering if you would share some of your symptoms that led to this diagnosis.
Also, what scans or testing did your doctor do to confirm that you had "microvascular ischemia?"
trouble walking, uncontrolled bladder, confusion, bit of shaking, draging feet
had MRI done
I appreciate the added information, @bamaobie1. Are you involved in any physical or cognitive therapies?
not at his time. walk everyday and do crosswords. seeing my dr thurs. gonna ask more questions! Have family and 3 grandsons, so dont want to be burden on them!!
I look forward to your continued posts, @bamaobie1. Do you have a list of questions to ask your doctor at your appointment on Thursday?
I look forward to hearing from you again. Will you continue to post questions and updates?
I have this as well. I’m 69. It is not unusual as we grow older. I’ve cut back on caffeine. And take a statin for my cholesterol…although it also helps stem progression of the plaque on the brain. Doing fine, although sometimes I get that “whoosh” dizziness that just takes me out for about one second. It’s a weird feeling.
Plenty of questions for him!
Hello @rubytue70
I read your post and I was wondering about the "whoosh dizziness." When you say, "takes me out for about one second" are you referring to fainting?
Does your doctor say that is caused by the ischemia or the medicine?
