I am finally giving up COVID can have me
After now being 7 plus months of being tortured, over looked, and passed up. I am here to tell you all I am done trying. The pain of rejection hurts more than the pain left behind from Covid. All I wanted when I tried to make contact with the Mayo Clinic was for a doctor with a little knowledge of what is happening with me to just speak with me, but nope. I was sent a email stating there's no resources for me they were sorry to inform me my application was closed. That is it besides you can't contact this email. No reply!!!
I reached out to everyone and everywhere I could and nobody and I mean nobody responded. Except for the normal I will pray for you, called me a drug addict ( I don't take meds even so how is that), lie to me and lastly there is not one red care in this world for me. So I am here to say Thanks for nothing folks. I am done if I die nobody is going to care. I bet not one person has even read this message.

You poor thing have you been to the Doctors? Plus, if you can try getting some chicken broth you. It helps warm you up and loosen phlegm
@jennifergillan03, I would be interested in information about the coaching. I am not sure where to turn because I really can't keep straight. Anxiety is killing me and my husband.. I have found out recently that I was diagnosed with Long Covid and Gastroparesis. We have ran out of money and being blocked each way we turn and we are both about to give up. Not meaning suicide just meaning depression. Thank you
Thank you for your kindness and encouragement. It's inspiring.
I contracted covid 2/20 and have been sick ever since. It affected many things including stomach issues. I have had some success taking l-glutamine, deglycerized licorice and marshmallow root.
I have not even attempted to get into a long Covid clinic as my insurance requires that I stay in network so basically I can only see the drs that work in our healthcare system. And our ginormous health care system has done nothing for long Covid. I understand your frustration and desperation. But we need to stick together and keep moving forward one tiny step at a time. They will fix us eventually.
Interesting re chicken soup. I’ve got post Covid thick nasal drip. My earlier note was getting some relief at long last at night and for once managed 7hrs but it come back day time. See acupuncture note. As a Dr who believes in holistic therapies having a place, I looked up and there’s an explanation re the soup, it affects the white cells and in turn phlegm gets less thick. I’ve found this along with sips of hot squashes no meds have helped.
Just checking in to see how you’re doing? Please let us know. Hoping you have some good news & that things are a little better. 🙃 Seems appropriate since our lives are turned upside down.
I can relate to your wanting to give up. I am only eight months into this and I have tried soooo many things and none of them have helped either.
And I have the privilege of being a physician, so I have never been ignored or called crazy.
I can’t imagine the frustration and anger and hopelessness of being ignored on top of this illness, which has destroyed so many of our lives.
You all may have already found the book “ long Covid survival guide” which has quite a bit of good information in it.
I discovered the survivor corps website from this book. They have a great map of the USA with information on long Covid treatment centers available in each state.
I was surprised at how many treatment centers are in network with my bare bones Blue Cross plan.
So it might be worth the effort to pursue specialty care.
If you do I highly suggest follow up on every single phone call or email regarding your referral status or scheduling appointments and certainly double check that the center is within net work.
With several centers I foolishly waited patiently for weeks, expecting to hear from them, only to learn that they supposedly never received the referral or we’re supposed to contact me for an intake interview but never did, etc
It is exhausting - but after 6 weeks of effort, I finally have an appointment at a long Covid specialty Center in mid April.
Wishing that today is a better day for you!
I am sorry to hear about all you are going through. I hope you can hear the empathy and concern from so many who have responded to you here. I also have empathy for how hard it can be. I had Long Covid for 1.5 years and sustained a vaccine injury as well. Then got Covid again 2.5 years after the first infection and some Long Covid symptoms returned. Covid has effected my digestive, endocrine, cardiovascular and nervous systems and given me mood disorders.
What has helped me has not been the Long Covid clinic at UW Medicine here in Seattle. My naturopathic doctor has helped me so much. And acupuncture. Covid can take a huge toll on any and all systems of your body and cause depression and anxiety. I have found that holistic medical care and therapy have helped the most. Long Covid can be very isolating when no one understands and MD doctors don’t have answers.
I am much better after three years now of working daily on healing myself. The main key is reducing inflammation through diet, nutritional supplements, finding positive social support and refusing to give in to the monster spike protein. Viruses are invisible sociopaths that want to survive at all costs and have no regard for how they damage their host. You have to refuse in your mind to let them win. With time you can get better.
With gut issues, you have to restore the healthy balance of good bacteria after the spike protein has damaged the gut lining and tissues. You must reduce inflammation in the intestines and brain, as the gut has the same receptors as the brain. Your despair may get better as you heal your gut and brain inflammation.
Try finding a really knowledgeable naturopath and/or functional medicine doctor who takes your insurance. Make them your PCP and it should only be a copay.
I wish you be best and never give up!
Good post above.
I agree with a good nutritional diet. In 1985 I was dizzy, visited many doctors, even an allergy clinic that did not help. It wasn't until I was put on a hypoglycemia diet and eight weeks later I was well. Nutritional food is most of my medicine.
Also, as mentioned above, a positive attitude.
