I had an angioplasty done on my left leg in may this year. Lately after I walk about a half mile my left calf starts to hurt to the point I have to stop for a few minutes. Is the blockage returning. If so do I need a stent. Leon
I have had calf pain since my TKR 9/2019. I have been checked twice for blood clots & negative. I had PVR test and it was normal. I can't walk more than half mile. Stairs and inclines make it worse. Insurance declining MRI.

My 84 yr old husband is in horrible thigh pain rt leg. MRI points to tangled inflamed nerves in his back no blood supply entering his veins in rt leg. Cholesterol clogged at 100% and stent was placed near groin giving him 20 % blood flow. An elderly noted surgeon is famed for this artery transfer but our cardiologist wants to wait and have aortic anurysim and artery transfer done at same time when anurysim measures 5.5 mm before Medicare will pay for. Had thot this would be taken care if 3 yrs ago but the pandemic hit and surgeon left the country for awhile. Husband can barely walk now with his walker a few feet. Turning Ober in bed causes Hugh pain. No one is getting
Any decent sleep. Also has loud phlemy COPD COUGH. supposed to use nebulizer and inhaler.
Spine doctor suggests Lamenectomy procedure but husband too scared so will wither away in his chair 24/7 so other alternative is physical therapy to stimulate some strength in his leg. Pain is so bad, stubborn,
scared ,
does no exercise , so that hubby experiencing early dementia. I am at my whits end being his caregiver having spinal issues of my own.
Problem is all treatment referrals are pushed so far out.

Hi @virtuous69,
It sounds like you and your husband are going through a lot right now and the biggest issue is that the pain and other symptoms are preventing either of you from getting good quality sleep which only makes the symptoms worse. I can imagine you are at your wit's end of trying to help someone who is unable and perhaps afraid to help himself.

Hello you all. It is good to think that you think that this hypochondriack is still alive. How I can continue to be alive with all my new ailments (and great pains) is beyond me. NEW ONES: Cystic lesions on the mouth of the pancrease, blockages, gerd, and about three more pretty large medical problems. Cysts in the kidneys, pancrease, head, arms and legs. VHL syndrone? severe aortic valve stenosis, moderate mitral stenosis a fib, , ec., etc. Quite impossible but yet still able to walk and type until? What I think is keeping me alive is: After living in a large home which I labeled as "Solitary confinement with a back yard" I moved to a wonderful place that houses independant, assisted, memory care and rehab with physical therapy AND ETCS. Huge place with many activities and always someone downstairs (another resident) that will share the time of day. A heated pool . Also a boardwalk with resident alligator, huge turtles, fish, etc. Very encouraging. Happy Hour 3 times a week with live music and always some who will dance to the rhythm. The house bus to bank and shopping and also transportation to doctors, beauty parlors (One in house) ETC. Helps keep the mind off the inevetable. With best wishes until, Peach

I have PAD thru out my legs and the plaque is in my stomach to my heart. It’s been 3 years since I found out. I don’t want surgery but I know I will one day!
Is there anyone here with the same condition? It’s so depressing to wake up every day and I can’t make the pain go away. I just want my normal life back. I haven’t been in a store for over 2 1/2 years.

Hi @juliemes, I moved your post about peripheral artery disease to this existing discussion in the Heart & Blood Health support group:

Hi, I wasn't 'old' before this medical incident but now I feel it!
Problem with calf, thought it was the muscle. Foot went cold; went to UrgentCare-they sent me to ER ASAP. Had blood clot located in Hunters Canal. Doc tells me it's been there for awhile.
Angiogram to remove and then a stent. On Plavix, Eliquis & Aspirin81 along with a Statin at bed. I work full time and have a Sat job as well. I had to leave the Sat job early this week - I was just wiped out. I get sooo tired by 2-3 every day. I take Eliquis once in the a.m. and another 12 hours later. Plavix is just 1x in the a.m.
I want off all these meds. I took nothing before this 'event' . Curious that our family does not have history of blood clots -yet 6 months after having Covid I developed this? I thought I was going to die.

I did this so you can read previous posts and connect easily with other members like @lk3xs @peach414144 @medicalinfo @peggyn, @judeeo, @leongreenjr, @thankful who have experience with PAD, some of whom have had surgery.
