I have PAD thru out my legs and the plaque is in my stomach to my heart. It’s been 3 years since I found out. I don’t want surgery but I know I will one day!
Is there anyone here with the same condition? It’s so depressing to wake up every day and I can’t make the pain go away. I just want my normal life back. I haven’t been in a store for over 2 1/2 years.

Hi @juliemes, I moved your post about peripheral artery disease to this existing discussion in the Heart & Blood Health support group:
- Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD): After angioplasty https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/pad-2/

I did this so you can read previous posts and connect easily with other members like @lk3xs @peach414144 @medicalinfo @peggyn, @judeeo, @leongreenjr, @thankful who have experience with PAD, some of whom have had surgery.

I had a calf issue. thought i pulled a muscle. couldn't sleep all night. went to Urgent Care because my foot went cold by morning. They sent me directly to ER. Had angiogram and a stent inserted in hunters canal behind knee.
occasionally i get a pain in calf and all i think of is the angiogram procedure and how i never want to go through that again. first follow up with my primary next week. follow up with surgeon in july. hope she takes me off all these blood thinners.
