@josephene I am having terrible insomnia as well. Nothing seems to help. Any specific suggestions? Many thanks.

I started about 40 yrs. ago with unison, increasing to 2-3 per night, finally I mentioned my not sleeping to a doctor [early 90's?] she said I had a busy mind, true, I would be sleepy, head on pillow, eyes and brain wide awake, running through my brain all my jobs, working out solutions, then redoing that again, She gave me a prescription, it worked, don't remember what it was but she did not tell me it was addicting. I then changed doctors and tried to get off them he had me reducing, didn't work, he then kept trying other drugs, nothing worked, there was about 4 or 5 of these including the prescription Melatonin, melatonin has never worked for me, the last one was trazodone, that just made me stumble around and did nothing for sleeping, then he gave me clonazepam, it worked, he did not tell me how bad this drug was nor that it was just as mind addicting as the one I was trying to get off of. I started with 1mg., then upped to 2mg, now up to 3mg. I try to stay at 2 but that does not always work, even with 3 mg. [and I know I can never go higher] I still have 2-3 nights a week with no sleep. I can do deep breathing, etc., still awake. I am off my computer and tv at least a hour before going to bed, I try to keep a routine, doesn't help. If I am really physically tired I will start to go to sleep without taking anything and then wide awake, 'where's my pill?' I just ordered a bottle of RV Insomnia Relief after reading and researching this, I would try a CBD but if you don't have the TSH I read it won't work for sleeping. I am at my wits end. I can't function with no sleep for 4-5 nights trying to kick an addiction. I am so tired of all this. I do not have anxiety or depression issues so I don't know why I was given the drugs I was.

@datd2 I feel for you. I was prescribed clonazepam by a "sleep doctor" but not told that it's addictive. My GP told me to get off it, first couple of weeks were tough. Now I'm using melatonin and sleep aid, and consulting with a sleep institute. Hoping that they'll find a solution. Good luck!

@datd2 Insomnia is horrible to cure I had it a while ago and just kept trying different things incluy meds I became addicted to Ambien and was very hard to get of it took awhile but finally was able to get it out of my system. There are nights when I have a hard time of it because of my pain I have but most nights this tea does it .You have to find something that works for you .I do tapping sometimes it works but it's hard to turn your chatter of ,isn't it . Best wishes to you .
