Yes! I have several physical symptoms when my MDD flares up. Racing heart, frequent urination, heaviness in chest, stomach pains, e.t.c

Hi - wanted to check in with some of you who had posted about depression flares. Thought that your responses would be helpful to all here in this discussion.

@liz67 - have you experienced a depression "flare"?

@joy7576 - you talked about several physical symptoms you experience when your Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) flares up, like racing heart, frequent urination, heaviness in chest and stomach pains. Have you found anything that helps manage these?

@pearlbaby7 - how are you doing? Are you still experiencing the heaviness in your chest?

@pearlbaby7 No need to regret posting about your fears. It is unsettling when depression returns. Does the anxiety become worse with the return of depression?

My depression is getting worse for some reason and I’m thinking that I should go to the hospital!

@smile what symptoms are you experiencing that you believe that you need medical attention? Are you afraid that you will hurt yourself?

Hi. I think of hurting myself but I promise you that I won’t because it’s not an option just a very dark thought to let someone know that I’m in lots of emotional pain and I can’t make it stop. I have two adult children, a girl who is almost 30 years old and a son who is 27 years old and has his own mental health issues..

@smile- It's terrible to feel so down. I've had a life time of depression. I never wanted to hurt myself and am glad that you won't. It will really only make you feel worse in the long run.
Do you have any idea what triggered your down swing? Are you really feeling that you can't handle this yourself?
