"Why bother?" What can we do when we are stuck?

Posted by Parus @parus, Feb 9, 2019

This has been brought up before in things that help. Now maybe some can share how we get out of a rut to help ourselves. We all get stuck stuck at times. Curious as to what others do when stuck in that thought mode of "Why Bother?"

@parus Why bother? Because I am more than my problems. Because I am stronger than my problems, better than those issues. Better than the disorders and diseases that wrack my body and mess with my mind. Because I am a survivor. Because I am a victor. And because I have a mission to make a difference not only in someone else's life, but in my own and prove that I am worth it all. No matter the cost, no matter the price to be paid. Because I am a fighter and will not go down without a battle.

Well, life can have a way of throwing curves. What more can we say at times other than “keep trying”. Back up regroup and be safe in my woman’s cave. Stress does make everything else much worse. Time to take a break from the madding world. Breaking out the headphones and sketch pad rather than body slamming someone... no, I would not do such. This is how upset I am and the feeling is harming me. My mantra is, “ I am only responsible for my behavior”. Such a lapse in progress will become easier with repetition.

@merpreb Long story. In a nutshell. People who continually plant fears in others to gain power piss me off!! I went off on a couple of residents in front of several other residents. The garbage they were being told by the prattling two was untrue. I become upset with myself when I allow this to happen. It happens because I care...so need to settle down. I will be okay. Just regrouping for now.

P@rus, were you involved in the conversation or just happen to hear it? I can hear how angry you are. Do you go off a lot? Can you just walk away?

Take your time to recover, @parus. I know your heart and you were undoubtedly concerned about what was being said.
