Does anyone have these problems? How do you handle it?

@brit I was in another area of Connect and for a different condition light therapy was suggested. Have you tried that? If your feelings are especially pronounced in the winter that could help, using full spectrum lights. The one downside of them is that if you are prone to migraines they can cause one, from what I have heard.
I don't think they are too terribly expensive so they could be worth a try if affordable.
The same goes for you, @pjss48.

Yes my sister in England fell and factured her leg. She's home from the hospital but very depressed and down because she can't walk or really not do much of anything. Her husband is like mine always there for her. That has been quite a concern for me.....also many other things, maybe we can get into all of that at a later date but right now its my sister and yes things are piling up............Patti

@brit take comfort in knowing that her husband is there for you, it sounds as if she is in good hands. If you can, I am sure a trip to visit her would be good for both of you, but of course, that's pretty pricey.
Also, I'm sorry about your IBS. I am having some issues myself that I think are either lactose intolerance or IBS. I agree with @merpreb. More than likely the image that appeared to be a lesion was simply a blur, particularly since three other doctors have not seen anything.
When I was in the hospital due to some low blood numbers they saw something on my x-ray that was initially thought to be a clot in my lungs. I was sent home with injectable medication but received a call shortly after walking in the door. On further investigation by the head of radiology, it was decided it was a blur.

@pjss48 I don't think facing the day is ever as daunting after a good night of sleep as it is when you have lain away for hours. I hope your day is going well.

@merpreb it was for an entirely different purpose, if I recall correctly it was for a skin problem or something of that nature. I will try to find it again.

@merpreb I went back through my trash and found it. It was in the Grover's disease discussion. This is what someone said:
"Have you tried light therapy? It helped me in a big way."

Patti- Can you visit her?

I could but she is in a home to help her with this broken leg and has told me she prefers to try to do this herself (I have always been her "big sister) done things to comfort her and am always there for her. But right now she wants to prove to me she can do it without "big sister" pushing her along. It hurts that she wants to do this herself without me (we have always been loving sisters) but then I also have to understand it is time for her to stand on her own two feet and try this herself. She also has a wonderful husband that supports her all he can. God Bless Patti

@brit Try to respect your sister's space. She knows you are in pain too. Are you feeling abandoned. Everyone needs space from time to time to focus on their own needs.
What is your age? you may have previously given this information so I apologize if I am being repetitive.

I am 73 years old.....love my sister so much and just don't understand why I haven't heard from her. Yes she needs her "space" but she's well aware of how important it is to me to hear from her. Infact I haven't heard from her .....her husband has been keeping in contact with me. Oh well just another thing to worry about but its up to her so I am waiting. God Bless Patti

@brit Wise of you to give your sister space and try to focus on your own needs.
