Brain Fog from Sinus infection and inflammation

Posted by czechmate @czechmate, Sep 6, 2018

I have had brain fog since early May 2018 which was due to Sinus infection and inflammation. I had sinus surgery but it did not clear up.
Been to every doctor and had every test run. All comes back clean. Any suggestions how I can reverse this brain fog which is constant?

Hello @czechmate -- Welcome to Connect. I know it can be disconcerting when the doctors are not able to provide any diagnosis or treatment. You are right to be concerned and advocate for yourself to find an answer. I did find a few links that may provide some more information for you.

@czechmate may I ask if the doctors put you on any medications? Sometimes a side effect of some medications can be brain fog.

I'm not sure if Mayo Clinic is an option for you, but they are very good at diagnosing rare and difficult to diagnose health problems. If you would like to seek help from Mayo Clinic, you can one of our appointment offices. The contact information for Minnesota, Arizona and Florida

I am on Klonopin, Mirtazipine and Trazodone. I was on antibiotics Augmentin, Levoflaxin and Azithromycin before the surgery. All 3 gave me rashes. Also was on a long period of Predisone for 3- 4 weeks. Does juicing help clear Brain Fog. I was going to try that. Also was thinking of treating m6 brain fog with CBD oil. Not sure if that will work.

Czechmate as retired nurse I can tell you klonipin and trazedon might be your problem check with pharmacist .

There are several articles that would confirm good results with both. I would suggest not cycling unless you are going to run bank to back androgen then anabolic cycles. Keep your dosages low. Obviously the idea is not to get big but to get better. I know I felt my best when I was doing steroids before and this is been going on for a very long time. It finally just culminated in my demise. I am now on track to fix myself with the help of all the doctors at Mayo and my own research. Wish me luck as I wish you luck. Thanks obviously the idea is not to get big but to get better. Thanks for the info. However I had the brain fog before I was on these medications but can’t hurt to check with the pharmacist.

Good luck. What happens to you when you were on steroids. I have been off Predisone for months now.

Extreme fatigue to the point that I sleep for 3-4 days at a time every couple of weeks and nap often daily. It is debilitating to say the least. Also, I have chronic joint and muscle pain and weakness. The regiment that I outlined with androgen, HCG, HGH and prednisone SHOULD help, but we will see. Best I have right now to go on based on my numbers.

@czechmate, I agree with @lioness about your medications being the most likely cause of the brain fog. I'm not a doctor and have no medical training but it's very easy to search and find the common side effects of drugs. One of the sites I use is RxList.com where you can find most drugs and their side effects.

I would discuss the side effects and medications you are taking with your doctor or as @lioness suggests a pharmacist.

Has anyone had success with the Wahls Paleo diet protocol? I am most interested in if you had brain reduction or reversal as that is my main symptom.
