Using CBD/THC Oil to fight metastatic lung cancer

@sheilabain- A warm welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect. I'm sorry that you have stage 4 lug cancer. What kind of lung cancer do you have? When were you diagnosed? Have you had a follow-up CT scan since your last treatment? I have stage 4 also.

@sheilabain- CBD oil is not yet regulated, so there are no directions as yet. No one knows it's effect on lung cancer, or any cancer for that matter. So far there is no known cure for lung cancer, but maybe this will turn out to be one. I buy tincture. Each dropper full holds 10 mg of CBD. They come in different flavors. I would start, if you choose the tincture to try 1/2 dropper full to start. Then increase it as you need this. I use it for anxiety mostly and depression. Some people use it for pain. Why have you decided to use it? I take 1 dropper 2x daily. It does a good job for me, however everyone is different, as you know.

Actually I am the care giver my Dad is the patient, he wants no more treatments, he is a little depressed. Just hoping to find something natural that might help. I have heard of others with lung cancer that are using cbc oil and having results

sheilabain...so sorry to hear about your Dad's cancer. Cancer is stressful and depressing and since they don't really have a handle on what causes cancer or how to really treat it....it becomes doubly depressing. They are making some headway though and there are ways to hold it off and sometimes even push it into remission. My husband has Stage IV cancer (possibly lung, but the diagnosis isn't clear). He is using CBD and THC to treat it until we can determine exactly what we're dealing with. The marijuana (for him) helps with pain and anxiety and depression and although we can't confirm it's helping with the cancer...his cancer has either gotten smaller or stayed the same over the past year. We're hopeful the marijuana is helping. He has no ill side effects. Dosage recommendations? That's a bit of a mystery but a good medical marijuana clinic or the supportive people on this site can get you started. Hugs to you.

I have lung cancer stage 4 too. Look at Afaya-plus from hyatt life sciences. It is used for cancer treatment holistically. They even have a phase 1 clinical trial from the plant extract. I think it's worth taking

what was your CBD dosage ? did you place under your tongue ? did you use any THC thanks

doctors will not tell you about CBD OIL OR THC , BIG PHARMA WANTS THEM TO PUSH PILLS PERIOD.. MY DOCTOR WOULD NOT SAY OR TELL ME THAT OATMEAL HELPS CONTROL COLESTROL

@joangma- You know the saying, "If it's too good to be true it probably isn't"...I believe that this is the case. And besides even if by a long stretch this was true it would take way more than one person to prove that it cures anything.
