Hi I had a medtronic 2 lead pacemaker put in on June 10, 2026. No more blackouts since.
It was a longtime mystery and finally had a loop implant put in first that captured the abnormal heart rythmn. I have sick sinus syndrome with heart rate dropping to 20 bpm and 5 sec heart pause

@suzy0509 Have you considered looking for a different doctor? Yet, now that you read your chart, you can ask pointed questions and decide if they are answered to your satisfaction. Can you have a family member or close friend accompany you to appointments? Write down the list of questions ahead of time. You can also specify you want to ask the electrophyiologist or cardiologist the questions. You can learn about heart block - in your browser type in Mayo Clinic Heart Block and then you can type in Cleveland Clinic Heart Block. Learn as much as you can and remember that the the squeaky wheel gets the grease. Keep advocating for yourself.

@walkinggirl did you say your a mentor for people?
I havent even seen a cardiologist. Only a electrophsiologist. When I go to the clinic I only see a cardiac Nurse. I have to wait till April to see the cardiologist. I didnt tell you but I live in sussex county delaware and thats the best we have down here. This is a beach area. Ive been blacking out for 25 years. Never knew why, just scared. I dont think anyone believed me when I told them. My family all moved away. I totaled my car in March when I blacked out driving. So I went to the hospital for 2 nights and the doctor there suspended my drivers license. I ride the paratransit now
