I am trying this
I watched this last night. I had not eaten at all yesterday, and I still have not eaten. This is a long video, but the science behind what she is saying makes sense. I woke up feeling pretty good this morning...I figure it is worth a shot to try anyway,

I do 18 hour fasts routinely but sometime throw in a couple of 16 hour fasting days for when I want to eat out with family. You might find this related discussion helpful also.

Before I learned about intermittent fasting none of my doctors ever mentioned the metabolic syndrome they just kept telling me I was in the pre-diabetes category. There are a lot of connections to neurologic and other conditions with the metabolic syndrome. Here are some of the references I've found on my journey.

3 Reactions@johnbishop Thank you John! I will look at the references you posted!!! I went almost 48 hours and I felt so much better. I did eat a small meal yesterday, a salad and some spinach. I did not want to eat too much. I am going to have a salad today with some tuna. I look forward to reading more about it.

2 ReactionsSo, my neighbors brought me a Kurdish dish and it was delicious. That being said, I woke up feeling bad, swollen (probably from sodium). Fasting does make me feel better. I am going to do it intermittently during the week and when I eat, I am going to eat a salad or an Atkins protein drink. Sodium is out, sugar, white flour, out...

1 ReactionI too, have noticed if I eat fatty food and high sugar my symptoms totally increase. I eat twice a day, pretty much vegan ( which I usually do) as well as I avoid gluten. I have celiac disease since childhood and it has acted up so much with long COVID.
Thoughts and prayers for your health.
