This sounds like a question your physician or pulmonologist. We could come up with a dozen examples - like that dairy can cause mucus production - but this is best asked of your doctor. Good luck.

I heard a Dietician today say that dairy does not create mucus...it does line your throat and can give that feeling...which may be relieved by sipping water to thin the coating.

2 Reactions@narelled23, huh, and every time I have drank cow’s milk I have mucus in my throat. I switched to pea protein “milk” for several reasons.

1 ReactionDiet has a lot to do with mucus . I notice more when I consume oily foods . Also dairy items cause problems . Certain vegetables and some pastas. Rice bothers me also . I also use mullion tea . Most people with OCD generally have mucus . The mullion doesn’t prevent mucus , it brings it up. I , like others , am bothered if I cannot get mucus up every day . I also use the inhaler , Trelegy.
