I heard a Dietician today say that dairy does not create mucus...it does line your throat and can give that feeling...which may be relieved by sipping water to thin the coating.

@narelled23, huh, and every time I have drank cow’s milk I have mucus in my throat. I switched to pea protein “milk” for several reasons.

I am a milkaholic and consume lots of dairy.
Milk, Yogurt, Cottage Cheese, and cheese.
COPD and I do not have a great problem with mucus. Yes there is some but I take Mucinex X 2 AM PM.
Stay hydrated and such. Maybe I am just blessed but so far so good.
