I've been dealing with LC for almost a year now - will go for weeks where I get cold shortly after eating for some reason.
Yes, always somewhat “off”. I do not have the heavy sweats some have mentioned. I prefer to be slightly chilly than too warm. It seems my body cannot regulate anymore.
Yes, for 2 years now, I am either hot and in a sweat, or I’m incredibly cold. I have no temperature regulation. Most of my life I’ve felt like I’ve had cold intolerance, but now to have heat intolerance on top of everything else is so annoying. I have all the chronic fatigue, insomnia, dizziness, brain fog etc……I also developed Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, which is really odd. The only silver lining is my life long back pain, isn’t bothering me as much since my brain is focusing on all these long Covid symptoms. I always know when I’ve recovered from an illness when the back pain comes back.
Every evening I run a low grade fever for 30 minutes.
I thought it too weird to mention to my doc bec I have POTS and ET - chronic leukemia.
POTS not under control yet.
tried Fludro in the morning, thenMidrodine 2x daily. Now I’m trying both pills so we’ll see how that goes…
First of all, I don’t know if you’re a male or female, but it sounds like hot flashes to me. It could also be your Thyroid, as your Thyroid controls a lot of things in your body. Have a Thyroid Panel run, you could be either hypothyroid or hyperthyroid and need medication to control it. I take Synthroid to control my Hashimoto’s and Hypothyroidism. Have your general practitioner order a blood panel. Good luck!
I too developed Hashimoto’s and Hypothyroidism after having Covid. I now take Synthroid to help with that and it has helped. Also, because I have Hashimoto’s Thyroditis, I have eliminated gluten, dairy and soy from my diet and I feel so much better and have even lost weight. Give it a try, you won’t regret it. Have your Thyroid checked by doing a blood test on it. Talk with your doctor and ask him to order a Thyroid panel. It’s an eye opener! Good luck!
I am also feeling better after eliminating dairy and gluten, but didn't know that soy can be a problem, too. Does that raise inflammation and/or is it difficult to digest?
For me, soy has always given me a weird feeling in my temples on either side of my forehead and also raises inflammation in my body.
Interesting. Have you every been tested for Celiac Disease? The most common complaint is inflammation in the body from wheat, rye and barley+ (all heavy in gluten) and dairy which has no gluten. Other side effects are disparate like hair loss, bald spots, eczema and about 40 others.
I've been managing Celiac for many years. There is a cure in the works (maybe). A complete GF diet is tricky and must be managed from all aspects of food, seasoning, body lotions, hair care and on and on. Just a thought that I hope is wrong.
I’m a server & I’m always on the go. Sweating has never been an issue for me until, Covid. It is getting better but it’s taken 2 years & I still take medication to help with the sweat. It’s embarrassing.
