Hi, I’m well past menopause as well. Started taking bio identical hormones last year because of the crazy sweating. They helped a little bit. The I started on Low dose naltrexone about 3 months ago. It’s been a game changer. Apparently it’s a hormone regulator, immune system regulator and many other things they’re discovering just from patient feedback. I’m no longer on the hormone treatments and have also no need for thyroid meds anymore.
It took about a month to feel some changes. No it seems I feel better and better every week. My tolerance for heat and cold has normalized. No more sweating! Hope this is helpful.

I tried naltrexone, but I began to get mouth sores and rashes. I had to go off of it and then they put me on cymbalta. It worked great for 8 months until I began to get weird rashes, so I can't use that either. I wish I could find another one to try because I'm so sick of not sleeping.

Post COVID my body temp regulation has gotten quite bad. For me the most challenging is that I overheat every night while sleeping. This wakes me multiple times, so my post COVID fatigue is worse than ever. I use cool water to help regulate, and also keep a cooler with ice packs by my bed. Cooling blankets have helped minimally.
I have upcoming autonomic nervous system testing. I would be curious if anyone has had a similar experience.

Yes, yes and Yes! It's the absolute worst at night and the reason I don't sleep.

Ugh. I’m so sorry. Another resource I’ve found helpful is an app called Turnto. It’s free (totally free). It’s all info about long Covid.
I also went to a long Covid clinic where I live and they gave me this list to try:
1- NAC 600 mg twice a day on an empty stomach.
They said to try it for a month, you’ll know my then if it’s working.
If not, wait about two weeks then try the next one.

2- ultra micronized PEA 600 mg once a day. Take it with luteolin 60 mg per day. These are for long Covid inflammation.

Hoping you can find something that helps!
