Anyone have seborrheic keratosis?
Does anyone have this. The derm. dr. doesn't do anything for them. They are a eyesore and I have them in several places. Some are very large. Is there a natural remedy that anyone may know about?
They are those scaly patches.

My wife is taking pictures of the progress of my shingles red spots and blisters. It all reminds me of how ugly my back, and to a certain extent, my chest, has become. You have to be tough to be old. I really hope you're not getting as many as I have. My daughter is 51 and spent a lot of time in the sun growing up. I sure hope she doesn't have to put up with these things.

1 ReactionI know it’s been a while since you posted this, but I was wondering if you did try laser treatment and if so was it successful? I am looking for all information I can find on this😪
hello, know I have noty done lazer.. I have so many in different spots I would not know where to began. The Dr. froze one off the side of my face , but it eventually came back.
I know! I really hate these things. I’m so depressed and I can’t find any help. Do you know of any creams or anything that would keep them from popping up in the first place? Anything that will make them go away ? If anyone can help me write me?

1 Reaction@janfurfari1: I’d like to welcome you to Mayo Clinic Connect and offer some information on three general types of keratosis - which is a general term term for non-cancerous growths caused by an overproduction of fibrous protein in skin called keratin. The main types are seborrheic, actinic and keratosis pilaris.
These are described in more detail here: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/seborrheic-keratosis/symptoms-causes/syc-20353878 https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/actinic-keratosis/symptoms-causes/syc-20354969
https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/keratosis-pilaris/symptoms-causes/syc-20351149
Are you able to identify the one you’d like to find out more information about, or perhaps share some history of your own others may be able to assist with?

2 ReactionsI appreciate your information: however, am looking for a support group who understands the emotional and, sometimes, isolating conditions it can cause.
@janfurfari1, welcome. You are in the right place to meet others living with keratosis here in the Skin Health support group.

I do…
@janfurfari1, I moved your request to connect with others dealing with seborrheic keratosis to this discussion group.
- Anyone have seborrheic keratosis? https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/does-anyone-have-seborrheic-keratosis/
I did this so you can read previous posts and connect with members like @crystalranae @peggyn @itchyrich @lakeocean @sueinmn @seniormed and others who may have experiences to share with you, especially the isolating and emotional side of dealing with seborrheic keratoses that are visible.
@janfurfari1, how are the seborrheic keratoses affecting you?
