Anyone have seborrheic keratosis?

Does anyone have this. The derm. dr. doesn't do anything for them. They are a eyesore and I have them in several places. Some are very large. Is there a natural remedy that anyone may know about?
They are those scaly patches.

Treatments vary from liquid nitrogen ( topical freezing ) to literally shaving them off with a scalpel, not ideal.. Unfortunately insurance doesn’t cover treatment. My advice , is to discuss with your dermatologist if they could work out an “ out of pocket “ rate. I have had many seborrheic keratoses treated in the past. A dermatologist can freeze off 20 keratoses in less than 3-4 minutes. Freezing usually results in minimal scarring and is very effective.
Hopefully your dermatologist will work with you with a fee that won’t “ break the bank “.

@kolshansky That sounds great I’ll ask my derm. Although last one she froze some off my arms it left a red mark. It’s been 5 months and it’s still a big red mark

It will often take more than 6 months for the redness to lessen. Sometimes it can be permanent but almost always improves over time. Using hydrocortisone cream a few times a day for a week or two may help with the redness.

I’ve spent $800 having them frozen off at ten dollars each, still have more than a hundred. Sometimes they are covered by insurance if they are in a sensitive place like your scalp, where they catch on your brush, or if they are painful because of the location. Tazarotene 0.1% cream twice a day for 3 months does work on the bigger ones and is worth a try if you can’t afford to have them frozen. It is unpleasant if you are treating a lot but I think would be ok for the biggest ones that are bothering you most. I would feel very embarrassed to have someone see my body, but my husband and I have been together over half a century and his eyesight isn’t that great, so not a big problem for us. I was a sunbather back when we only used baby oil and feel lucky this is not cancerous! Good luck, and anyone out there who has experimented with other topicals, did you have any luck???

Gosh…sounds like my younger years! Have tried topicals, but the burns work the best for me. I’m so glad my old dog doesn’t care about my looks! 😉

I understand the embarrassment. It’s with me wherever I go. It’s difficult for me to understand that there’s no “cure”. There’s eczema, psoriasis and other skin disruptions, but ???

I don’t understand it either. It’s truly upsetting and crazy to think we don’t know what the root cause is either. How long have you had sk’s?
