What is your blood thinners medication?

I take around 6 to 6.5mg of warfarin each day. My INR ranges about 2.3 to 2.8, and usually 2.5.
I missed a dose one time only and INR dropped to 1.8.
So I am wondering where my little boat fits into the fleet? Are these numbers like those of other people?

My doctor recommended that I check out the Canadian Pharmacy site. I’m now getting from them the generic equivalent to Eliquis and the cost is significantly lower than the copay I had been paying for Eliquis.

Yes it’s amazing how much we Americans pay for prescription medication compared to other countries I think there are some things in the works in Washington . But we all know how that goes Eliquis is a good medication. Glad you were able to get the generic a a reduced cost O didn’t even know Eliquis had a generic Good luck

Yeah. The name is Apixaban, which is the product ingredient of Eliquis.

Guess there is a reason you don’t take any new medication like Eliquis Maybe insurance won’t cover but I would talk to your doctor .and discuss a different blood thinner There are many and some have genetic options so they would tend to be less expensive . Not knowing why you still take Warfarin I’m just guessing Best

Apparently, apixaban has not shown that it is better than warfarin for those with artificial (mechanical) heart valves. I was prescribed warfarin straight out of the gate.
I was very gurious as to where I sat in the spectrum of blood thinner medication.

My friend as long as your taking your blood thinner you have a 90% + chance you won’t have a stoke that’s the important lesson I learned when I had my pulmonary embolism Best well
