Anyone else experience Weight Gain with long COVID?
I have had ~30 pound weight gain since November 2020 when I initially had COVID. It seems disproportionate to my calorie intake. Any one else with this?

I have had weight loss, 24 lbs. Fortunately, I could lose 40 more for my doctor to be happy. But it wasn't diet and exercise. It is nausea, liquid diarrhea, and lack of appetite. Sometimes it's difficult to swallow. Sometimes my stomach clenches and I can't eat. None of the other groups seemed even close to these issues. Gastrointestinal issues. Hoping someone has insight on how to help.
I have weight loss. Lost 42 lbs since June 2022 after having Covid. I couldn’t eat, nausea, severe constipation, sinus issues, dizziness. I have been eating 1700-1900 calories per day for a couple of months but cannot gain an ounce. Have actually lost another pound. I don’t know what to do. Any suggestions?
Yes!!!! I have always carried the same weight. Since covid and Shingles I am struggling to keep it off!!
Eating basically the same portions and now cutting back.
I did find out my b12 was quite low....working on that maybe with more energy #'s will drop. Be Well
I have gained 30 lbs since having COVID. I had a heart attack due to vasospasms brought on by my COVID infection. My diet and exercise are normal, actually my diet is better. I just keep gaining. Now that I am officially obese, I get to try some of these diabetic weight loss drugs. I have never looked this way before in my life and i feel helpless. Every time i get on a scale it increases....
Yes I have had Long Covid for 3yrs now & I gained weight too for no reason
I had covid in Jan 2023 and I gained 15 lbs. I just got over covid again and it's now a 25 lb weight gain.
It might be water weight. I have the same problem, I barely eat but my weight is stuck or goes up slightly.
I don't know what doctor you can go to for this.
What doctor did he go to that figured out it was water weight and prescribed diuretics?
Me, too. My weight's always been stable, and I work at it and exercise. Some tendency also to fluid retention. But since Covid Aug 22, gained 24 lbs and retain a lot of water all the time. Internal medicine told me yesterday it was my fault. I should go to a dietitian to look at my diet. He suggested I binge eat! He said only two reasons one gains weight: diet and/or exercise. I've always exercised to the limit of my ability. Not a good doctor. I'm so mad. And mad at myself I didn't set him straight. Good luck with b12. My energy's low, too.
My doctor tried diuretics and Lasix. No weight loss, or increase in urination. Stopped both after 10 days.
