Statins for women

I would like others' opinions of use of statins in women...I have 2 different opinions. One that they do no good for women, and women have not been part of studies touting statin use; and two, yes, you have to take them to get your cholesterol under 200.....are others having this confusion over taking statins?

I would suggest you talk to your doctor about it - the Mayo docs are very well informed and they actually have a lipid clinic where you see a dietician and a doctor as well as answer a food questionnaire. Good luck!
