Spleen aneurysms

Has anyone been diagnosed with spleen aneurysms? If so at what point did you have surgery? My vascular surgeon said it is a very rough recovery so he wants to wait as long as possible.

I have had aortic aneurysms replaced and can only tell you that whatever you can do in the time you are "waiting" for the surgery, to get in the best shape that you can, for your particular circumstances. Exercise, eat right, get plenty of sleep etc.
I've found that the healthiest you can be before surgery, the easier and quicker your recovery is most likely to be be. You're essentially stacking the deck in your favor. Doing these these can also improve your attitude and confidence that you've taken charge of your situation. It did for me!
Good luck!

Thank you for your response and suggestions. I actually had an ascending thoracic aorta aneurysm in 2010 and I have a mechanical heart valve and am on blood thinners. Needless to say I really freaked out when they told me I had 2 aneurysms on my spleen now.
