Hi @leokpo, welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect! I am just seeing your post and so sorry that I am just now responding. It sounds like you have a lot you are navigating.

I am not sure I completely understand what you dealing with or what you are asking. It sounds like you have had a bypass surgery that is done to reduce symptoms and also your chance of death. I am hopeful your cardiologist is monitoring your heart function to know how well the procedure worked. You mention having 29 stents, angioplasty and brachytherapy.

29 stents is a lot, and I am not familiar with brachytherapy. I believe it is a cancer treatment and not related to heart blockages. Could you explain more about your health conditions?

If you developed a 100% blockage of your LAD you’d have symptoms. I presume after 29 stents you know what kind of chest pain you have and the symptoms of a blockage. You potentially will live if the doctors can get to you in time. I also presume you’re on anti-clotting drugs as well with 29 prior stents. I wish you luck and you should ask your cardiac care team the same question.

What I am trying to determine is if Mayo Clinic installs the ABRE stint manufactured by Medtronic. It is a stint designed for people with blood clots behind there knee. Which is what I have. Or if Mayo Clinic has any kind of treatment for DVTs in the way of removal of the DVT?

Hi @scott14593, welcome to Mayo Clinic Connect!

Here is a Mayo Clinic overview of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) that includes treatment options: https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/deep-vein-thrombosis/symptoms-causes/syc-20352557

Also, I searched Connect discussions about DVT and found this one:
- DVT prevention and treatment: https://connect.mayoclinic.org/discussion/dvt-treatment-for-age-70/

You can self refer for a Mayo Clinic appointment, and I imagine ask questions you have about the ABRE stint option: http://mayocl.in/1mtmR63

Would you share more about your experience with DVT?

Well my experience with DVT is I was diagnosed with a DVT in my left leg behind my knee in 2010. I have had two rather severe leg infections in my left leg. In the first I was running a temperature of a 106.5 F
