Severe gaseous dilation of esophagus.

Posted by Ryman @ryman, Dec 16, 2020

I had a ct scan and one remark was “severe gaseous dilation of esophagus”. My doctor has not contacted me regarding this or several other results of the tests. I will be checking with her but wondered if anyone has had any experience with this. Thank you.

Hello @ryman

I just read your post and I'm was wondering if you have difficulty swallowing?

Hi @ryman, I am also curious about the question that Teresa posed. Can you share a little more information regarding why you were having the CT in the first place and what they were looking for versus what they found? I am familiar with esophageal dilation, however, most of the time it is the procedure that the doctor uses to open up your esophagus when performing an EGD to get a better look with the scope.

@ryman Have you contacted your physician regarding the results yet? What did she say?

Hello @ryman,

As it has been a while since you last posted, I was wondering how you are doing? Did you get an answer to the results of the CT scan?
